Description
I love this Transformer but always hated his ugly green, yellow, gray, and neon orange colors.Since I had a week with no commissions to do, I did this.
Filled the screw holes in and repainted him entirely.
I had planned to keep his blue visor but neon orange paint was on it and I messed up the tiny piece trying to get it off.
Oh well. I still really like how he came out.

So can someone tell me how Bulkhead went from being the common shape and "fitness" of a cybertronian to an obese eyesore?

I guess when they decided to use the name on a bot that it fit better with. I do like the modern Bulkhead character. Never even saw the original in action.

They originally intended for Ironhide to be the main heavy hitter but when they finalized the design they decided they didnt want Ironhide to be "fat"

And now they SORTA worked Ironhide's true look in...but they turned him into Kup...Kup has arm cannons....Hasbro is on weed.

The Kup thing was just a new ploy to make the sales on a mold as a repaint before releasing the actual figure it was meant to be. Like if they released a Megatron toy in Galvatron colors first so they know people who want the toy will buy the wrong color version just to have it, then they still make a fortune off the right colored version later. Pretty slick idea really since I'm sure their repaints over the last 30 years haven't sold nearly as well as the true versions.

Well Hasbro has a few problems and repaints are one of them, the others are: TOO MANY BUMBLEBEES. Declining use of paint applications, increasing simplification of transformation in even the Leader class toys (Ironhide for example), and finally, planning more than they intend to release (ex: DOTM Deluxe Wave 7)

Wow,nice repaint! Looks like a cool figure! It's amazing how this is what Bulkhead first looked like and yet look at him now in Animated! :3

I know! Totally different character yet due to the bulky look of the powerlinked Energon Bulkhead and the big Animated Bulkhead, the name fits em both pretty well.

Yeah, but this one reminds me of Universe Springer, or Cybertron E-vac, or Universe Blades (all the same molds). Guess it's the rotor that gives it away.

That steel and cool blue makes for a great colour scheme.
