Well, here's the final (?) version of that WIP I submitted last month. It's the Next GeneratioN of Naruto!!! See if you can guess the pairings before you scroll down...I have a feeling I might get shot for some of them. Only a few, though. Gaara and Sasuke's children aren't here, since they do not currently reside in Konoha in my storyline...and also because creating fourteen different characters was hard enough, and I didn't feel any need to try for any more. Maybe someday I'll draw Suna's Future, and the Uchiha's Future, but... Not today, please! A naming-guide can be found here, [link] .
Anyway, let me know if you see something that could be improved! Everybody except for Hanabi is an Original Character, so no stealing, please. I'm planning on using some of them later...

Nanda (Joy) Aburami, son of Shino and Karin, 17 years old. Studious and reserved, Nanda takes after both his parents, though he lacks Karin’s bipolar personality. The tattoo on his left arm reads “Rin” (Solitary), and pretty much defines his outlook on life.

Inoki (Shining Boar) Akimichi is the son of Ino and Sai, born 16 years ago. Sadly, Sai died on a mission when Inoki was less than a year old. The boy recieves a fair amount of pressure from his mother to live up to his father’s memory (a fact of life not helped by his resemblance to his father.) He often turns to his stepfather Choji for help when Ino becomes too demanding. He has adopted his stepfather’s last name, as it raises fewer eyebrows than having to say that, to the day of his death, his father had refused to reveal his true name.

Chihiro (Wise One) Hyuuga is the daughter of Neji and Tenten, 16 years old. She did not inherit the byakugan. She tends to think of herself as the ‘big sister’ of GeneratioN and can be incredibly bossy and demanding…but she also has a heart of gold, and many of the younger ones will turn to her in times of need.

Led by Masato Sarutobi (Son of Asuma and Kurenai)

Kochou (Butterfly) Akimichi is the half sister of Inoki, born to Choji and Ino 13 years ago. She adores her father, and Choji has absolutely no defense against the daughter he never thought he’d be lucky enough to have. She inherited her mother’s figure, but her father’s appetite, much to the amazement of the other girls of Konoha. Though Ino tries to keep her daughter’s voracious appetite confined to healthy foods, Kochou has a distinct sweet tooth and will often be seen snacking on various gooey or salty confections. Her shimmering butterfly earings were a graduation present from her father.

Kegawa (Fur) Inuzuka, only son of Kiba and Yakumo Kurama (a Chunnin who literally swept the slightly younger Inuzuka away during a diplomatic mission to the mountainous Kumogakure 14 years ago) had a problem…he was terrified of dogs! He liked Akamaru well enough because he grew up with him, but a bad experience with a stray when he was five has made him wary of any other canine. This made life exceedingly difficult, given his heritage. When Kegawa turned 10, Kiba made one, last-ditch effort. He unceremoniously dropped the pup Ginko (Little Silver) into Kegawa’s lap and told the boy (in no uncertain terms) that he was now solely responsible for the little dog’s fate. If he wanted the pup to live, he would have to get over his fear enough to at least look after it. The (admittedly desperate) plan worked, and the softhearted little boy conquered his fear…somewhat. Three years later he and Ginko are partners, but there are still some times when the old phobia rears its head. Kegawa’s best friends are Shinme and Iwa.

Takumi (Inventor) Hyuuga is younger brother to Chihiro, and son of Neji and Tenten. This 13-year-old uses the byakugan not only in battle, but also for pinpointing minor flaws in his mechanical gadgets. Having inhertited his mother’s precision, and his father’s kekkai genkai, Takumi is a formidable opponent even at his young age.

Led by Naoko Ichiraku (Son of Kakashi and Ayame)

Yasashika (Gentle Deer) Nara is the son of Shikamaru and Temari, born 12 years ago. He received his name because, as his mother said, “If he turns out anything like his father, he’s going to have a gentle heart.” Yasashika was born in Konoha, but has spent his childhood moving back and forth between Konoha and Suna with his parents and has been enrolled in both villages’ academies at various times in his life. It was only chance that Temari and Shikamaru happened to be stationed in Konoha during Yasashika’s graduating year. Now, as a Konoha graduate, he will remain behind with his new three-man team when the time comes for his parents to inevitably return to Suna.

When Hinata accepted Naruto’s proposal 13 years ago, I doubt she anticipated this minature hellion. 12-year-old Shinme (Bud, Sprout) Uzumaki is a real wild child, much to the despair (and secret delight) of her mother. She and best friends Kegawa Inuzuki and Iwa Rock are the terrors of their age, always ready with a prank or practical joke. Shinme doesn’t get to see much of her father, and when she does, it’s usually as Rodaime-the-punisher rather than the Naruto who secretly howls with laughter at his daughter’s inventive exploits. Shinme’s pink ‘star tattoo’ originates from the time Kegawa decided that she should be an honorary member of the Inuzuka clan, considering the amount of time she had devoted to helping raise Ginko. Since the two boys were unsure of how to give a proper tattoo, Iwa stole his mother’s lipstick and Kegawa performed the ‘bestowing ceremony’…which basically meant ambushing Shinme while she was sleeping in class and painting her face with the lipstick. (He only got one cheek painted before the teacher noticed and woke the girl up.) Shinme liked the star so much that it has been an integral part of her style ever since; it’s the only makeup this tomboy will allow to touch her face.

Kanaya (Strength) Rock, also known affectionately as Iwa (Stone/Gimp) because of his terrible balance when he was younger, is the 12-year-old son of Lee and Sakura. With his mother’s studiousness and his father’s enthusiam, Iwa is a dream student and in the top of his class. This does not, however, stop him from getting into trouble constantly! Iwa is apt to use those brains of his to futher the plans of his best friends Shinme and Kegawa, who are very good at creativity, but not so good at working out real-world details.

Others members of GeNeratioN currently in Konoha:

10 year old Shou (Soar) Sarutobi. This boy has a mysterious past, and is regarded warily by his classmates, often becoming the target for cruel words. His father, Konohamaru, had been on a diplomatic mission to the land of the Waves for several years, when he suddenly re-appeared in Konoha with a young babe in tow, apparently abandoning the mission. With a reputation for recklessness and a known talent for trouble, it should come as no surprise that most of Konoha assumed the worst of the young man. Konohamaru refused to defend his decision, and has remained close-lipped about the entire situation; only Naruto, as the Rodaime, and Sakura, as the chief medical nin, have been told the truth. But whatever the case may be, the young man has done the honourable thing, raising the boy as his own with ocassional help from Moegi.

15 year old Hinako (Little Doll) is the daughter of Kankuro and Kashike, and cousin of Yasashika. Though a puppet master at heart like her father, she recognizes the necessity of learning multiple jutsu, and she is currently in Konoha to hone her wind-element techniques with her Aunt Temari. Of all the GeneratioN crew, she gets along best with Takumi, and the two will spend hours going over her puppets and tweaking the mechanisms to even deadlier purpose.
