Approach to Combat:

-As a certain, flavorful U.N.D.E.R. Lieutenant once so well worded, 'there ain't no damn approach.' Amminot, from the tiniest cell to the largest aggregation, are driven by one urge. To decimate and consume everything around them. The only basic semblance of instinct they have is that there are two conditions they avoid wandering into, extreme heat and extreme cold. And even then there's no guarantee. Should a crew encounter an Amminot bloom, and they will, watch your entire clock. Because they will come up with some way around your defenses and devour you from the inside if you don't.

Points to Target:

   -Everything

Recommended Military Approach:

-Though sighted worldwide, Amminot are most often encountered by the survivors of kaiju attacks, scattered like seeds in the wrecked residential areas the titans waged war in, making them very difficult to completely eradicate. Should a cleanup crew encounter any single sign a bloom, they are required to send their coordinates for an UNDER Strike team immediately. Should you encounter the creatures themselves, Ymir class or higher cryonic weapons are recommended, as freezing them will prevent them from spreading and kill the entire aggregation instantly. Heat is another excellent, though less effective measure, with success reported from tools as low tech as hairspray and a lighter.
Abilities:

-Aggregation: Technically, a single Amminot is too small to see with the naked eye, each just slightly larger than the typical paramecium you'd see in 7th grade biology. They are highly aggressive and driven to reproduce, much like the kaiju cells they so crudely parallel, and when enough of them gather in one place, the behavior of the cells begin to change from that of single cell to multi-cell organisms, assembling shapes and taking on different consistencies and compositions to serve essential roles for larger functions. The exact nature of this process is not understood, as it goes beyond the nature of similar organisms like the Portugese Man o' War. The most common shape is a multi-legged shambling mass with several bladed appendages, but other more exotic strains have been found.

-Venom: Each individual cell of the Amminot strain contains the capacity to produce a highly adaptive toxin based on precursor bioscience. It is believed to have been made originally as an attempt to counter the regenerative abilities of the monsters, but for whatever reason now lost to time, the kaiju now seem to have taken the weapon themselves and use it very effectively on most if not all prey. In lesser organisms it causes near instant hallucinogenic paranoia and rapid cellular breakdown. Larger aggregations will devote specific cells into producing specialized appendages for delivering the venom more effectively.

-Energy Projection: An ability only seen at the largest stages when they break the boundaries of nature, Amminot can absorb and redirect energy as a self defense measure. Unlike larger kaiju who can do so with no adverse effects, most Amminot pre imago stage can only accomplish this at great cost to their physical mass.

Sightings:

    -
Cairo, Egypt: The first discovery of the Amminot cell was in the now lost mobile Precursor Laboratory, destroyed by the kaiju Stormback somewhere in the Sahara Desert. It was unwittingly brought to the Cairo Museum of Egyptology, where it infected the organic matter stored there, both living and dead. The infestation was brutal and all consuming, leaving the city a wasteland of death before the sun rose the next day.

-New Orleans, Louisiana, USA: The initial strains were found destroyed by the equatorial, arid egyptian sun, but some survived by spreading into the Nile River, and most notably onto a freighter in the Mediterannean, which arrived in the Gulf of Mexico a lifeless husk. The bloom had already developed into its second stage of life, dubbed the Faetal stage, and wreaked destruction around the Gulf Coast before being destroyed by the newly emerged hypernatural kaiju Grorn. Many other blooms were sighted across Central America in the weeks that followed, but none reached the size of the original.

-Dubai, UAE: Unbeknownst to UNDER, another Bloom escaped into the Nile and found its way across the Arabian Peninsula, making landfall near Dubai in a far larger, better fed and more armed Faetal. It battled with UNDER forces, taking a direct blow from the rail cannons of the UNDER flagship Vajra, and then metamorphosed into its final stage, called Rasqet by UNDER scholars. This creature did battle with Grorn and UNDER alike before succumbing to the nature protector's abilities.

-Mumbai, India: The first sighting of an Amminot post Syyd, the creatures emerged in the slums of the Indian megacity, killing thousands and growing into two separate Rasqet forms. One was destroyed by Uthegar, the other escaped into the sea, where it is still residing. Multiple blooms have emerged worldwide since, and the organism is considered one of the current world's greatest threats.

=========================================================================

Season's greetings! I come bearing the gift of another Fathom Monster, and this one shakes up the system a little bit by introducing a smaller monster not necessarily connected to the main kaiju plot. Amminot are my answer to aggregate, gestalt monsters such as Destoroyah and the Blob, a sort of sentient kaiju cancer that consume all organic matter in their path. It is a threat at all levels, both contagion wise, infestation wise, and kaiju wise when they get bigger.

Ever since I first watched Godzilla 2000 11 years ago, the concept of the kaiju cell always interested me, and its proven to be a big motif in my work with the genre since. The idea that these creatures exist due to having superior dna that allows them to sustain their own biomass through evolution, either natural or forced, is one I personally find VERY interesting, and I thought about how to show the dark side of that. As these files are written through an imperfect, in universe lens, I left a lot of the flavor text vague, but the core concept of the Amminot is that an ancient civilization attempted to kill kaiju with cancer, basically, and the end result was... horrifying to say the least. Its not what wiped the Precursors out, that comes later, but it was a major factor in their civilization dying out.

I've been having some computer issues again so I wasn't able to put quite the amount of work into this one that I have for previous pieces, but it suffices fine until I can find the time and convenient enough behavior from my computer to improve these. So enjoy, and make a good holiday happen.

Quite the interesting kaiju concept, and you continue to make other references to characters that only add greater intrigue to the story.

Ya know this reminds me a ton of a idea I had for HWE once. And.. I love it. Its a an interesting way to go about a Kaiju by making it basically a microscopic creature. Possibly the very most original kaiju I can think of.
