Description
This flash resource complements the other tutorials.I know there is dificult to find the color you want from a mix or under some light... That is the reason I did this resource.
It is very easy to use, just mix the colors you want, the result is inside the smallest circle. Then you can lighten, darken or colorice it with diferent light filters. Then just capture the screen and pick the color in photoshop. IT IS VERY EASY!!!
To understand better the use of this check the tutorials:

Hello *vandervals, forgive my innocence, but I'm kinda confuse as to how this resource work. Yes, I already gone to the Help section, but still blurry to me especially on mixing part. Can you explain a bit, please? thanks

The red and blue rectangles moves two wheels: one the inner color wheel that makes the big circle change color, the other moves the wheel with the two circles. When the big circle faces the 1st color you wana mix, rotate the second wheel to change the color of the circle. The result is in the smaller circle.

I dont quite understand this. Do I drag the circles over one another and the little section inbetween is the mixed colour, or am I supposed to drag the circles over the 2 small circles inside the colour wheel. Dont quite get what this is about though I know it should be obvious, can you you give me a bit more info on it please ?

Yeah I did but I still dont quite get it, you say "the smaller circle shows the resultant colour from mixing the big circle colour next to it and the adjacent colour of the wheel" so firstly i'm not sure which circles you are talking about, are you talking about the small green circle inside the colour wheel, with the dark circle over it or are you talking about the section inbetween the blue and yellow circles on the colour wheel. How do I mix my colours, if i want to mix yellow and green, do I turn the colour wheel to green and then drag the yellow circle over the green cricles inside the colour wheel and the mixed colour is the colour inside the overlap of the circles?

Fascinating idea... I'm looking forward to playing with this. Glad to hear someone else has been inspired by Gurney's book - it's pretty amazing.
Thanks for posting this!

Excellent, I'll use this if I have troubles finding a colour. I can't help but notice how much more vivid these colours are than the ones I chose in the past.

yeah but take care with reds and greens, as you can see, when you try to create them they look pale! In traditional media it happens the same if you use magenta cyan and yellow, if you try to get a red it always looks to pink or too orange
