Hello I am a Photoshop newbie. To use the above graphic how would I change the background color to white. Also is it possible to remove the text and put the example labeled PATTERN BRUSH into the center of the page deleting the Β GRAPHIC STYLE? Hope it is okay to ask

This is just a screenshot of the vector pattern brush for use in Adobe Illustrator (not Photoshop). To remove the text, just download the file and open it in Illustrator.

Most of it should work in earlier versions of Illustrator even back to version 10. I think CS supported adding raster images as swatches which Version 10 didn't so you couldn't do the tiling textures on a stroke. All the rest of the brush effects are just building a good pattern brush. Let me know if you need any help and I could post a compatible version.
