Phew! This took me a good week's worth of work, but I'm very pleased with the result.

Been trying to re-watch Season 3 of Digimon recently. When it was first dubbed and brought over to America I remember disliking it because it changed so much from the classic Season 1 and 2, but I figured watching it years later I might have a different perspective on it.

I still don't like it as much as 1 and 2 for a variety of reasons, but I can't deny that it's got some awesome new digivolution sequences. It's pretty cool to watch the digimon deconstruct and reconfigure into their new forms, instead of...spinning around really fast and mysteriously getting bigger lol.

Soon as I saw the evolution sequence again, I knew I had to draw it for myself. Ideally it'd be animated, but who has the time? So here's some "screenshots" instead, featuring my digimon for #TheDigitalWar , Crocutamon!

(Yeah poor bastard, he doesn't get to fly until Mega and by then he doesn't care so much lol. His Ultimate is pretty tall though...that's ALMOST like flying....>>; )

You should make one! It can't hurt, I know other people have NPC's

A tutorial for what aspect exactly? The order of images? The grids? The skin peeling/layering? There's a lot of stuff that went into this

Well, the grid, the glow and the peeling. It would be cool to see the process, or just some general tips.
I can tell you spent a lot of time, but the finished product is very good.

He looks awesome. Also congrats on having the patience to do this xD I've wanted to do either a panel comic like this or an animated version of the season 3 evolution sequence for Sciencemon since... I joined TDW but have never gotten around to it since its a big commitment.

Haha, yeah, it's a pretty time consuming project. I started this a week ago and I was working on it pretty much constantly @_@ But it looks snazzy when it's finally done!

I'd love to be awesome enough to get an animated version done but I don't see that happening in...ever. Maybe an animatic in the future one day...that's about it

It really does. Season 2 will remain my favorite, but season 3's digivolve sequences are comparatively way better (for Rookie to Champion anyway lol).

Yeah...I mean, wtf is up with Kyuubimon to Taomon? She spins around a lot. Joy. That's so awesome.

Not to mention most of the Ultimate forms were pretty terribly designed That's one of my major gripes with Tamers...the three main rookies are alright (although Renamon's size bugs me), but the rest of their lines are pretty 'meh.' It's pretty hard to get into because of that, at least for me.
