Oh my goodness, the finished product looks amazing! I found it really interesting to see a drawing like that take shape, as opposed to just seeing the end result. Great tutorial!

Where did you get the pencil extender? I'd never heard of them before (and awhile ago, I was thinking that it would be handy if someone could make something like that - so now I know they actually exist already). I did just look it up on Amazon, but it's hard to tell which ones work the best (and I always tend to hold pencils at the tips, so I would think that metal part might bite into my fingers if I buy the wrong one). Also, does the Faber Castell eraser work well? I was thinking about buying an eraser pencil if I knew which brand was the best. My mom used to have one with a brush on the end, but I don't know what brand that was or anything (and the eraser part was a bit too thick for me).
You're pretty good with getting the right colors. I think when I work with colored pencils, I pretty much need to start with the darkest part of the picture first, or else the whole picture will look washed out in the end. Though several years ago, I copied a picture from TV and got the colors to work out pretty well with layers and mixing and such. It might just be that the last time I tried colored pencils, I was drawing some stuff outside, where I couldn't correctly judge the colors. Those pictures turned out really washed out because I didn't make things dark enough. ^_^"

I got my pencil extender from a regular art supply store. I don't know which brand is the best though. I got mine several years ago and it didn't have a brand name on it. I didn't have problems with the metal part yet but I guess it really depends on how you hold your pencils.
I'm very happy with my Farber Castell eraser pencil because it doesn't smudge the drawing if you keep the eraser tip clean before using it, and another plus is that you can sharp it with your regular pencil sharpener. The Farber Castell eraser pencils comes with pink and white mines. I personally like the pencil with the pink eraser the most because the white eraser is rather hard and may destroy the paper surface when you use too much pressure.
To avoid the washed out look I work on every part of the drawing until the drawing is finished. Which means that I darken the lighter parts if I feels like they look to too light after adding the darker parts.
I hope I was able to help. C:
