Heh...I loved that eclipes on a pic I did that I just had to try and do one up close...Hope you all like...I liked the starfeild better this timeOh yeah! I did my first ever gallaxy in the upper left of that there pic...hehe
Tell me if ya likes!!!
Took me bout three hours to do(YUP! thats it!...might be a new record in total time!)

yeah, that's really cool. I did notice the similarity of this piece to the li'l eclipse in the "Blue planet 3".

Yeah! Someone liked the Galaxy!
Well...Lets just say it was weird...I used a light flair(1st layer) then another one(sencond layer I might add) then used the twirl filter and distorted it(twist it around) Then I Brushed around with browns and blacks in a circle marque tool then twirld it too and distorted it into place.
Then I noticed it was too bright and messed with the opacity on the layers.... Oh yeah I copied the second distorted flair and added noise to it, and ,messed with the opacity...HOPE this helps!

This is very cool; both epic AND purple!
If I had to leave a constructive remark, I suppose the only thing I would suggest for a similar picture would be to lessen the center brightness of the other major stars so that the light from the eclipse stands out a little more. But that's just a guess, really; perhaps it wouldn't look good. And don't get me wrong, I had to dig for that! This is a very well-done pic.
