Shattered Dreams is some kind of area in space where its very dense and with the density there come a price...no life...

planets and stars were done on PS and the wave lookin deals were done in a beta fractal prog' called apophysis

Wow - this is a crazily awesome piece of work! I can tell you put sweat and tears into it with the details in the clouds and the nebula: although it lacks a little depth with the starfield it's beautiful

A deeper analisys can find a low resolution texture on the planet.....

lol...no worries...I rendered the large planet a lil too close in Max and the moon was done in max too
And I used a fractal for the random shape and base of the neb'(which you can barely see anymore)
the atmospheres and the rest was done in PS 7

Why planets on 3dsm?
And did you use more than one single texture on each planet?
I'm starting some space art on 3dsm and starting to learn the basics!
Can you help me giving some good examples of textures to use on the planets?

well...I make my textures and I make them from satilitte pics also I also use the materal type called blend in max to use different planet maps I've made to blend them together
I think max makes the bump map better than PS so thats prob' why I still use it
Then sometimes I'll make the entier pic in max...just matters on the mood Im in to mess with max

Great work on the textures and light, and I love the colours
Lol, but you always put bad titles on the,!!
I suggest using a scifi or even arial looking font, solid colour, white looks really good at whole opacity, smaller, spread out the characters a bit,maybe use all CAPS, and add a glow.

All photo shop...cept for a shape from a fractal program to get me started...then the planets were made in Max
