Description
This is my Current Work in Progress that I scanned just in case if the original gets ruined. For the orginal, I plan to experiment with it and color it with inks; but dont expect to see the finnished product any time too soon.
This is possibly my first attempt since middle school to try to draw a comical action scene. Originaly, it was going to be much more dynamic then this but in the sketch process I discoverd I couldnt fit every thing I wanted on to the paper so I had to settle on some thing that was more typical and common in battle scenes... so its nothing special. Its supose to be an illistration of how I envisioned Robert A. Henlen's "Starship Troopers" (novel), but I dont exactly know what to say to express any form of copy right law... To those who are familiar with the novel, I know this is not the best suit design or a very good expression of such an awsome book, so dont get mad...

The Typical Scene: A squad Mobile infintrymen is sent into a hive to rescue a captive "Talent." (Human Psychic) As they make thier way out of the hive they come under attack by a swarm of bugs. With Ammo running low and little time till the dropships leave, they slowly make thier way out of the tunnels while holding back the bugs. Suddenly the tunnels become fogged and one of the infintrymen loses his way in the tunnels. As Warriors approching him from 2 foggy tunnels, the soldier collapses the caves with a gernade. But when he turns around, he realizes that he had run into a nesting chamber for "Surface Sentries." The snake like bugs awaken and make thier approch to capture to lone trooper... but he isnt going to let that happen so he throws down his depleted rifle, grabs the plasma pistol and starts torching away in a 300 style last stand!!!
