Hmm, might need to stuff the head a bit harder so it stretches out. I do notice the head looked smaller in minky than in fleece.

I see, Nicky Velours is stretchy, but I ironed some backing on it to make it easier to work with. Maybe that is the problem, cause Nicky is very stretchy on it's own.

Print it out and enlarge it on a photocopier.

A xerox machine? I'm not asking this to be rude, but is English your first language? If not, I can try to look up the word.

If I print this out now, without any enlarging/shrinking, how big of a pony will this make?
I'm trying to make one that's about 10 inches in height. I'm wondering if I need to enlarge the pattern to get to that height.

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to sleevesy-pyrocat3 [2012-08-06 08:06:55 +0000 UTC]
You'd have to make it a bit larger - this one makes about a 6 or 7 inch tall pony.

I take it it's not quite easy to make it by hand?

Actually I hand sew everything.

Kitten-Hachi-chan In reply to Voodoo-Tiki [2012-07-20 03:20:08 +0000 UTC]
Really?
I assumed it was all machine stitched, since it's so well put together and what not.
I also have another question: have you ever tried embroidering the cutie marks or eyes on the ponies before?

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to Kitten-Hachi-chan [2012-07-20 03:28:51 +0000 UTC]
I have, but my embroidery skills are terrible.

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to ChocoSprinkles95 [2012-07-09 12:04:47 +0000 UTC]
The inside of the ears are on the body piece (pattern page 2) and the outside of the ears are on the center head piece.

are you using this pattern on your plushies?
and can u tell me which material should i use for best?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Voodoo-Tiki In reply to BlazeTheBurner900 [2012-07-03 20:42:14 +0000 UTC]
I use a more complicated pattern, this one is simpler because I wanted it to be easy for beginners.
For material, I prefer short pile faux fur, but most people like fleece or minky.
