VXP..A New Classic..UPDATE #2
Still lots to do but these are the major updates so far.
I need bug reports folks, id like to make this the best it can be.
Button Text bug has been resolved,
Maxthon bug is fixed,
Listview bug is fixed,
Fixed tabs so that right and left ends are rounded on bottom and not cuttoff,
Fixed active window text issue,
progress bar issue fixed
Come on y'all i need more bugs !!!

After workin long and hard on this for about 6 weeks i feel confident i can release an RC1 version so that people may get a chance to get a look at what i hope will be an enduring classic theme.
Several elements of the theme are yet to be completed but for the majority of users this should at this point be a useable , comfortable and easy on the eyes visual style.
PLease feel free to post bugs reports and suggestions and when i get the time i will fix any issues and complete the entire theme.
A compact version IS in the works by Matt0.
A Winamp skin is in the works by Matt0.
A Trillian skin is in the works by Danimator.
Also several walls will be incuded in the finall version.
NOT COMPLETED: VERTICAL TASKBAR AREAS and SHELLSTYLE.
I'd like to thank all my pre-beta testers for all their input so far.
DONT FORGET TO INSTALL THE FONTS !! and..

This is definitely a high quality VS! I love how smooth the font is. The colors aren't loud and obnoxious. They complement each other very well. The only suggestion I can think of at the moment is maybe do a couple of color variations. But that's not very important as this version is good enough. Thanks for your hard work!

I am however working on a toolbar theme and the final version should be complete by Tuesday at the latest.
It will include several wallpapers also.

very nice vs... a couple things concern me though, the first being the start menu... a compact version would be nice, especially since the bar where the name is doesnt extend across the whole thing.
the second thing are your title bar buttons... too far apart, not far enough apart... i dont really know what it is about them...

In RC3... when I hover over my bookmarks in Firefox (i'm using the latest nightly build), the bookmark that my mouse is on does not stay highlighted... it flashes repeatedly. It did not do this in RC2. Other than that, I don't see any bugs. Awesome visual style. Keep up the great work, it's much appreciated.

I'm not seeing any obvious bugs or problems in the style or the shellstyle, except for the very incomplete explorer bar section. You really need those normal and special group sections, plus maybe make the explorerbarheaderclose.bmp the same yellow as the close button???

where exactly does the explorer bar section get used, i have in 10 years never seen an application that uses these images.

In windows XP it gets used for skinning the Search function and to a lesser extent every other aspect of Explorer under View ->Explorer Bar -> History, Favorites, Folders, and as I mentioned Search. If you look at search via F3 you'll note big empty squares in the search section when using VXP.

Excelent Visual Style, very eye-friendly, sharp idea, beautifully arranged colours, superb funcionality!!!
My default visual style on my system for very long time ( until the next release of this I suppose...

The 1 pixel gap has been fixed, i will change the brown text on selected tabs to white.
I wont be making any other font versions, sorry i just do not have the time. Not sure why Times would be showing up as its not used in the VS anywhere.

That's a fast response, we thank you. I've been using VXP all afternoon and I really like it, though I still am not sure about the yellow-brown on hovering over the tabs. Just a suggestion, that you can ignore if you choose, how about the green (or the light blue), used for other elements, for the hover color rather than the yellow-brown.
Oh and don't forget to finish the explorer bar, as I plan on telling people about this vs.

Shellstyle is being worked on right now, i have updated tabs to use a green mousover tab with orange (to match default system button color) tabs for selected tab, i also changed the text color for the tabs and everything looks a lot smoother now.

wow, looks great. I have been changing my VS once a week, and this'll likely be my VS for TWO weeks, if not more.
Your VS is clean, and bright, which is something I'm looking for, after using several other themes that are dark and annoying.

This is very nice, but I agree with McWolf that the yellow is a bit out of place. At least the yellow brown that appears on hovering over a tab. There is one other little flaw that mars the work. There is a one pixel displacement when a window or program is maximized, so that the desktop shows through. It's not much of a problem, but it's there.

Very nice. I love the basic color blue and green, but the yellow color looks a little dirty and not match with other two colors.
