Dug this out from a stack of old prints.You're looking at the heart of Toronto's downtown. That needle type structure is the CN tower itself. Shot from my balcony.
Forgive the lack of sharpness, this was more of a long exposure, but hand-held.

wow. this makes Toronto look beautiful. if it only looked like this all the time (or have the same atmosphere), and not have that gross brown haze over the horizan, i might consider moving there when i leave home.

very beautiful picture. at first i thought it was just another sunset picture.. and then i saw the buildings, and i must say, it's amazing. the lack of any foreground really gives a far off feeling.

I love how the sun is just above the three tallest buildings on the horizon, it brings the eye directly to the focus of the image.
I think the photo is a little on the wonky side though? Maybe try rotating it right a degree or two.

what a great picture, what great colours...
I even don't have a balkony here, and when I look out if the window is see, a road, railway tracks and buildings .. thats it... 
no sun shining through

Wow!! How stunning, it really does feel heavenly. Seems like something out of a movie, the Matrix perhaps? Very very very nice. I just wish it were a little more straight.

I think you are talking about the tilted feel to the horizon. Actually I made sure the tower is not tilted, which should be the key to straighted the thing. But the horizon still just looks slanted. I think its because of the flat lake at the left and the land at the right keeps rising higher. Also there are building all along the right portion that is dark, so they might be responsible for the slanted look.

This is really good however it would be nicer if the uppermost cloud wasn't cut off like that, although I realise that it is an impossibility to get all of the sky in. Really, really nice effort.

this is simply gorgeous. i think there's a technical term for when light rays fall in that way, but darned if i can remember. anyway, what really matters is the beauty of this photo - i love the way the shadows radiate out from the city. it almost seems like the sun itself is created by the buildings.

Ok, I'll take your balcony anyday over the view I have outside of my front door. This is amazing. I love the title you chose too..."Blessed" is exactly how you feel when looking upon such an amazing creation as the sky with the sun bursting through. So beautiful.

What a view to have! The sky is awesome, but what makes the shot in my opinion is the group of tall buildings aligned with the sun. I love how the light expands onto the town. Excellent shot.
