Wow I love the fact that it's in black and white. Very cool effect.
Great capture; glad to see there're no cars parked in the driveway. That would have ruined the mood of the photo.
Must !!

that is a bloooody good photograph..actually its spectacular..u know if u have a polarizer lens..you can get the clouds just as well as any effect thing in a program..
it just intensifies and dens-ifies(sp?!!!)
hehe but this is good..

Thanks a bunch! Thats true, but polarizer couldn't do what I did by burning. I actually did use one, which got rid of sky reflections from the wet spots on that driveway, but didn't darken the clouds.

I love the graininess of the sky and the way that it seems so out of place compared to the smoothness of the road and clock tower. I think this is gonna be a so well done!

This is very very good, the composition is beautiful, the road draws you right into the image, leading you right to the building.. May i ask, seems like most uni, have a building similar to this, is there a church portion in this? The one here has a church in the building, and looks very similar...Great shot Sam, a good overall mood and well done.

Thanks mike, I also thought of the road that way.
I'm not sure if this tower is part of a church. I guess it might be, this does look like a bell tower.

Great b&w shot... the sky burn you did really adds to the piece and really give it a dark overtone that one would imagine with such a magnificent building in the shot... great shot. (a little grainy but still good)

This is beautiful, from the tones and contrasts to the form and movement, it's a wonderfully composed photo. The cloud formations are terrific, well done.

this looks wonderful in black and white. its one of those photos that just wouldnt have the same impact in color as it did in black and white. wonderful capture of the moment.

You're absolutely right Julie. The colour version looked really ugly and dark. I was surprise at the change when I converted it to b&w.

Wonderful shot. Your horizon is nicely on with a great vantage from one obkect in the image to another. I love the burning in the sky you did in PS, it's added something more to the image. The tree too is lovely, with the contrast and the ominous feelings of general spookyness. There seems to be a lot of grain, and because this is an outdoor shot, I think you could have got away with something with a lower ISO. My guess would be that this was a 400 and a 200 would have a similar lighting effect with much less grain. Just a thought, but it is a fantastic image. Great work.

Nicely captured! I'm so glad there were trees in this shot to give the capture a bit more.
The clock tower is excellent, though it doesn't exactly pierce the sky. (I'm sure you couldn't help it, hehe.)
I like this.

nice, very nice! the sky is fantastic and really pops out after the burning in photoshop and that makes the shot. have you thought about cropping this? maybe by eliminating the street and leaving just the tower and sky, or the tower, sky and the wonderful tree it would be really powerful. just a thought....

Thanks, I really did and I will probably crop it and update it. I just couldn't make up my mind if I liked it better cropped or uncropped.
