A guide made to help understand how Leopard Complex works in Celtic Warlanders. Below are simple rules to make designing a little easier:
-------------------Top Row:
☘️1. Leopard Appaloosa - nLp + Patn1Patn1
☘️2. Blanket Appaloosa - nLp + nPatn1
------------------- Bottom Row:
☘️1. Fewspot Appaloosa - LpLp + Patn1Patn1
☘️2. Snowcap Appaloosa - LpLp + nPatn1
-------------------No Pattern Appaloosa:
☘️Varnish Roan (most common) - nLp or LpLp
Variations apply such as snowflake appaloosa or frost.
------------------- MUST Appaloosa Traits:
Note: These will ALWAYS show, even if they are minimal.
☘️1. Mottled skin (muzzle, around the eyes, dangly bits etc.) characterised by pink speckles.
☘️2. Hoof stripes
-------------------OPTIONAL Appaloosa Traits:
Note: These traits are an add on in the Celtic Warlander breed. They can show up or not (up to the owner).
☘️Bronzing - the process an appaloosa horse undergoes with age, their original coat colour browns and becomes more coppery till the coat can no longer be identified visually (testing required).
