Deb and I drove 50km out to Silver Islet last evening to catch the sunset on the mist ... we weren't disappointed!I found an ice-cave under a rock along the shoreline and climbed right in. (I can't resist a good ice-cave as some of you know
). The low sun was shining through the ice and it was very beautiful in there... like some other world separated from the cold winds outside.
I held my breath because the mist from it was spoiling this hand-held shot

Funny you say that... I think you've got it easy! At least you get a nice hike out of the whole thing. If I paint for 4 hours and come up with nothing all I get out of it is a saggier couch and a sore left hand lol. You guys still crisp in the -30s up there? (my in-laws live in northern MN so we get the frost update every now and again
