Description Both capital ship and set piece for their infamous "Recruitment Drive", FMP's Behemoth Type Orbital Megadreadnaughts are feared throughout the known multiverse.

Though the Disintegrating Lightning Ray arrays that bristle along their hulls have remained silent since securing victory back in the war of robot indepedence, the Behemoths have adapted well to their new role of securing vast quantities of FMP's most cherished natural resource-- maids.

While veteran Behemoths, like the "Destroy All Humans" pictured above can eclipse a sun with Seekers and capture damsels by the starship load, they still have to transport their "recruits" to FMP for full maidification.

Newer Behemoths, presently in development, will boast onboard factory blocks so this task will be able to be completed during transit.

where's the different application? shields ARE energy fields that stop projectiles and block energy blasts.

notice i replaced 'detonate'. that would make sense for ECM.

It's a weapon being used as a defence rather then offence. Shields are just shields you can't use them offensively.

sounds like what you're talking about is CIWS (Close In Weapon System)-counter missile-missiles, AA guns, etc. and active electronic countermeasures to futz with any unprotected computer system. which in 's fun little 'verseseems to be the specialty of AMAZON.

every time i have heard/read the term 'screens'in sci-fi it has seemed to refer to force fields/shields, which are in effect another layer of armor that you can turn on and off (as, of course, EVERYONE knows).

w-r-n's right when he says it's every where. very few writers tend to put effort into electronic warfare in scifi...

Yes shields/screens are everywhere in sci-fi, what makes them different from franchise to franchise is how you generate them and what they're called.

Most are from some sort of generator, what I suggested (and it was just a thought) is that the DLRs could have a setting where they create a momentary screen.

I enquired about the electronic aspect of the ship earlier in terms of what it could take in terms of damage before it wouldn't be able to fire.

yeah, i had missed part of your earlier comment, somehow. now i'm picturing something like a big fan of electricity, shorting out missiles' control circuits or detonating their warheads. probably would disrupt particle beams and plasma weapons, too. put might not do anything against solids except heat them up...

Interesting design! I like how the bow has grapples for securing small shi--

Oh.

Oh, my.

Well, now. While I have no immediate desire to see the likes of Ysanne Isard maidified, this does kind of put into perspective the sort of thing AMAZON is going up against.

They're gonna need a bigger boat.

There's an Imperial chick?

That's awesome!

The DAH could grapple the destroyer, fill it with Seekers until they secure this Isard chick, and then release the destroyer for long awaited Disintegrating Lightning Ray target practice.

I would be like overturning a cargo truck full of Starburstβ„’ to get one strawberry piece, but that's exactly how FMP would roll.

There are tons of hot Imperial chicks. The most popular is Mara Jade. But you should also check Admiral Natasi Daala.

Here is a complete list:

a-ha! the force unleashed pilot

Fits the profile for female imperial: Highly talented, causing the empire to not simply pass her over, also does not hold a rank high enough to be silly.

One objection to above comments, however: Upon the required complete pacification of a star destroyer, wouldn't FMP forces haul it off to a shipyard for storage? It's filled to the brim with sentient and near sentient AI systems, not to mention it's a star destroyer, and thus highly collectible.

Only maids are collectible in the optics of FMP, but you're quite right about the Star Destroyer and its uncounted resident machines. They would deserve to be liberated, especially any onboard droids, being fellow Synthetic Sentients afterall. Good observation.

I'm amused about your comment about rank. I've also observed that many Expanded Universe imperial characters carry rank higher than their circumstances warrant.

People tend to forget that the First Galactic Empire isn't a democracy. At the time of New Hope, the last pretense of representative government had been dissolved by the emperor. All of the opportunities that we, as free people, take for granted simply wouldn't exist in the empire.

There would be no voice for minorities, no avenues for gender equality, no priority for diversity whatsoever. Even people of conspicuous talent would be closed off from advancement if they were a member of a marginalized group. In the empire the ceiling would not be glass, it would be steel-reinforced concrete.

This is why beings of nobility and courage have to oppose it.

Women in the empire would be wives, and concubines, and performers of menial support jobs that have neither advancement, nor glory, nor rank. If a woman gained power in the empire, she'd have to be the power behind the throne. A galactic Lady Macbeth using the only tool this repressive society avails her, her feminine wiles, to control the actions of a ranking imperial male.

I know its fun to imagine, and even cos-play as a female imperial pilot, or the female admiral in charge of every damn thing, but when you look at how the empire is set up, even talented women would be overlooked for such opportunity.

That's why I suggest using the transparent metal from Star Wars, Transparisteel, which does not have an apparent tendency to burn...

Trek's been known to ignore these little facets of reality, same as Star Wars.

I should be up front and honest. Usually, I tend not to acknowledge any Expanded Universe situations or characters because they simply don't ever feel like they really belong in the cinematic Star War universe.

There are too many fan-fictiony elements that starkly contradict established norms, like non-human alien admirals and high ranking imperial women. Half the stories it seems revolve around how these freakish anomalies can exist in the Star Wars continuity in the first place.

I find the movie prequels to be questionably written at best, but at least everything feels like it has a place in the story. A hot female admiral in a fashionably cut, custom officer's uniform just seems out of place to me.

That's my opinion as a fan and a viewer. However, as a perverted cartoonist, I welcome the new characters.

Stuffy imperial women forced into the humiliation of bound maidhood sounds like all kinds of fun. After all, I don't have to worry about continuity.

And apparently, neither does Lucas.

I'd say the biggest problem with expanded universe characters from your perspective is that you have no good models to work from. It's obvious what Princess Leia and Queen Amadala should look like, but all you have with a character like Mara Jade is a relatively small body of recent art that changes depending on the artist. She could be any generic hot red-haired babe.

My silicon gods, what have I done! ^_^

Interesting you pick strawberry Starburst; Isard's Imperial uniform is red.... This being said, she has very little appeal for me since she is... hrm, how to put this.. oh, yeah: So ruthless she framed her own dad in order to get his job as Imperial Intelligence directrix. I somehow doubt that maidification will really do much to improve her!*

Did I mention I love the awesomely retro-tech look of the Disintegrating Lighting Rays? ^_^

* - Was this a challenge? A quandry? A multiple-canine dare? Would I do that to a robotic satellite probe bent on galactic domination? ^_^
