Description You know, this started out with me just wanting to draw the bottom of Nomoko's boots.

Clearly Nomoko is experiencing yet another illogical imperative. This one seems to be as much temporal based, as it is due to the proximity of the Shakti unit.

Since there seems to be minimal risk of malfunction at this juncture, our erstwhile satellite has decided to explore this most recently uncover subroutine.

Please, pay no attention to all the Ships of the Line and Lenscruisers, that happen to be spooling up their powerplants this holiday. I'm sure its a coincidence.

It so nice nice see Nomoko getting into the festive spirit... and that's a lovely gag for Shakti, can see her pouting.

I've been wondering, what is the current relationship between Nomo & Shakti? I've seen HG's Suspicious Links but I know that its a bit different interpretation from yours. Nomo is clearly infatuated with her, to personally target her for maidification. Shakti is here because of treachery from her own military. Despite Shakti doesn't appear to be a Bellneck or have getting Stockholm syndrome anytime soon, but does she get special treatment or attention from Nomoko?

No, Shakti will never warm up to Nomoko, or become a Bellneck. She may be a bound maid now, but is still the legitimate, democratically elected head of state to a government, spanning a quarter of the galaxy. Her will is not an easy thing to break, and she holds out hope, however fleeting, for rescue.

To Nomoko, Shakti is a favored pet. She allows the captive leader to eat gourmet foods; which necessitates to almost obscene luxury of periodic gag removal. She also requires Shakti to do less work than most maids, preferring instead to put her on proud display.

Ah I see now. That's what the 'special treatment' is. Makes sense to consider what a high profile captive she is. Nomoko definitely has her hands on a brilliant prize.
But what does she do when she's "disobedient" then? Shakti is shown to be a bit defiant & probably has less than flattering things to say about Nomoko. Does Nomoko just enjoy it or punish with her Mind-control chip or other methods? Given Shakti's "special treatment".

Oh Nomoko lavishes as many punishments upon Shakti as she does benefits, but their frequency and nature depend entirely upon the capricious gynoid's mood at any given moment.

Spankings are a favorite activity, but once again, their application depends more upon Nomoko's appreciation for Shakti 's posterior, than any behavior on her part.

Nomoko is also quite fond of subjecting her favorite pet to tickle and snuggle intensive personal "slumber parties", during which the gynoid's braids her helpless charge's hair, has one way conversations about crushes, and plays spin-the-bottle. Maid and robot girl disagree sharply over whether this counts as a punishment or a reward.

Wow, those are some interesting punishments (and "Rewards"), fitting Nomoko's craziness perfectly!
I can picture Shakti during these Punishments/Reward times being stubborn or begrudgingly going along with them. The 'Slumber Parties' would particularly grind her gears. Still for a non-bellneck Maid, Shakti's treatment certainly says something about her current position in Nomo's little playground.

Well, this actally begs a question..... do tye FMP celebrate holidays? Do they let their maids celebrate holidays? Or do they perhaps adapt certain holidays to meet a certain criteria, or perhaps change the meaning to suit their needs?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

we-r-nomad In reply to JazzySongBird [2016-09-16 00:18:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, they do celebrate the anniversary of the final overthrow of their human creators.

I don't know if I could really call what the Fremps do celebrating but they do acknowledge many human holidays, like Halloween and Christmas. However, their celebration usually takes the form of dressing their maids in special themed outfits, while they continue their daily toils.

I suppose ultimately, the observation of holidays, save for the aforementioned anniversary, is dependent upon the whimsy of individual Benefactors.

Some robots engage in a Christmas "Fox Hunt", in which maids are dressed in Santa-themed fur trimmed, string bikinis, and forced to hop through a snowy village, while being hunted by an ATS , equipped with a snowball firing minigun.

A maid making to the finish line is promised her freedom, which is a small risk to the Benefactors since no one has made it that far.

JazzySongBird In reply to we-r-nomad [2016-11-23 20:33:28 +0000 UTC]

Actually, how would the FMP celebrate the overthrow? Maybe a parade (like Carnival?) of maids dressed in formfitting, colorful, nearly impractical costumes?

Celebrating the Overthrow? That must be an extravagant holiday.

Now that sounds like an interesting story. A benefactor toys with a maid, who plays to gain her freedom. The Benefactor has stacked the odds, but the maid's determined to win.

I look upon the fox hunt a little like the reality show in Running Man. No one is allowed to ever win, except for one or two fictional contestants, whose inflated story inspires willing participation.

That's a cool idea!

The Aldamari Pella shivered in the snow she had just been pelted in. Even after her seventh attempt, no luck! She couldn't understand how she had failed again. She was so certain that the finish line had to be right around the corner. She offered no resistance as a terrier collected her and carried her off back to her master. She'd try again! She'd win next time! She had to! Pella was determined to win, even as her doubts began to grow.

Meanwhile, her master chuckled as he saw her maid being brought back to him. One day she'd realize that there truly was no finish line, but until thenx seeing her try so desperately was so entertaining. He could practically picture the bell on her neck now....

It just occurred to me that participants in the hunt could be given a feast prior to the race. (Allowing time for their food to settle before the actual contest, of course.)

This would be something of a holiday tradition, and the contestant maids would have their wrists temporarily untied, allowing them to feed themselves. (Their legs would still be tied, and their collars would be tethered to their armchairs.)

All the contestants would be fed simultaneously in a banquet hall, allowing the women to converse, issue challenges to their opponents, and generally engage in the closest activity their captive lives have to family dinner.

Many women volunteer for the hunt just for the fellowship of the banquet.

Of course AMAZON's are barred from this event, and mere mention of their name during the ungagged banquet incurs instant punishment and ejection.

Something else just occurred to me.

Jan could be entered as a contestant in the race. Every year, a Beneficiary would be sent to the banquet, without her signature collar, to both gather information from the assembled maids, and win the rigged contest, supporting the illusion that the Benefactors are sincere in their promises of freedom for the victor.

JazzySongBird In reply to we-r-nomad [2016-09-17 01:01:49 +0000 UTC]

Could even uncover possible plots of rebellion.

0skar would probably use this as a chance to spread the word on his "business"

of course, Jan would probably be a problem for him.

we-r-nomad In reply to JazzySongBird [2016-09-17 01:37:50 +0000 UTC]

His "business?"

Are we talking about a robot underground railroad? (We're going to wear out Civil War comparisons after a while.)

I suppose this is wear he'd have to shift into full Schindler mode, being careful not to give away his true intent to his fellow Benefactors.

As I mentioned earlier, while the maids are ungagged, they are still closely monitored, and swiftly disciplined if they let slip forbidden words like "AMAZON" and "Freedom" among others. This is usually down by having Handler drones hovering at a discreet distance above the dining tables, ready to swoop in and remove any who speak out of turn.

Still, Benefactors  may make the occasional appearance to egg on the representatives of their harems, and perhaps seduce a maid or two into becoming a Beneficiary. (It's likely all they would have to do is mention that as Beneficiaries, they would eat like this on a daily basis, rather than an annual one.)

Oskar could make such an appearance, and make the same flirtations. Heck, he could even sic a Handler or two on a particularly rebellious maid, under the guise of removing her "Disruptive influence", but really sequestering them for later liberation.

As with everything he would have to be careful in what he does. It's likely other robots would not appreciate the loss of their prized foxes.

Yeah, 0skar plays a dangerous game. He also has made a habit of letting some information that Amazon could use slip. 0skar tries to divert attention to him in many ways, one of them being his beneficiaries Henrietta and Evelyn. The thought that someone who so eagerly delights in the maids close to him would help any escape is a bit of a stretch. Little do they know that 0skar actually lets Henrietta and some other maids assisting him remain ungagged and unbound when out of the public eye.

Oh yeah, he's definitely an underground railroad.

I could see him being caught with his maids unbound by Bearengarius. The initial tension of the discovery would be abated by the bear confessing that he allows Phantom to go ungagged as well, since he so values her political advice.

The bear would wink as if sharing a secret perversion.

Oskar would play along.

Oskar: "Advice? Well if it works for you, that's fine. I personally like it when they say their adorable little nonsense phrases, like 'You'll never get away with this!' And lets not forget the pleading."

0skar also has to hide this from Evelyn, who is a devout mechalyte. She may eagerly serve 0skar, but she probably wouldn't understand many of his choices. Thankfully, she is easily silenced and she likely wouldn't get a chance to expose him

we-r-nomad In reply to CristianDraws [2010-12-25 14:37:50 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad people like the skirt. At first I lamented going with a long pleated skirt, as it covered up her gams and required a lot more drapery drawing, but it was fun to draw all the flowing folds.

Regarding her additional robot powers: I am considering having tape dispensers in Nomoko's palms. That way, she can tape Shakti's mouth, while hand gagging her. Plus, it would make mummifying Shakti so much more fun.

Firest In reply to we-r-nomad [2011-01-03 03:09:56 +0000 UTC]

Having tape dispensers in Nomoko's palms might be a bit awkward to draw. I'd suggest having her followed around by an entourage of more advanced flying tape dispensers and NITE Bears.

Think a Maidverse version of the Tall Man from the Phantasm movies, replacing the orbs with flying tape dispensers and the deformed dwarfs with NITE Bears.

Ahhh, color. Oh! Heck... I thought maybe she'd put the boots on Shakti or something. That makes it a lot easier to see whose foot that is. Love the subtle hint that she's still a robot under all that attire. Also, killer work on all those loose folds and making the skirt seem genuinely soft and pliable (That's something that gives me problems still).
