Okay, that is it. I can buy Jasper wanting to get back in Yellow Diamond's good graces, I can believe that Garnet watched Greg and Rose's relationship develop knowing that it'd lead to her demise, but Peridot has proven that when the chips are down, she will side with the Crystal Gems, and she especially wouldn't hurt Steven!
