yes, a man. XDsame background, i drew him around the same time as ??? no.8. there a few more characters using the same BG.
BG was not required, i just put the floor in for shadows of the person.
uploaded again, this is my 3rd try...hopefully it works

Now THIS one came together nicely. The armor didn't clash with anything. Everything is so put together with this character but at the same time you get that odd feeling that he might have an ounce of evil in his eye. I don't know the basis of these characters that you are making but I would think they would be the good guys.
That scar, along with the bulging (god I can't spell) muscles is just enough to scare off the little people...

I'd have faved earlier, but around the time I sat down to check DA, I got forced into one of life's numerous tirades...ah well
In any event, this is pretty sweet ^_^ I really dig the angle of the body as that blade is swung in a fierce arc, as well as the perspective of the blade making the most prominent statement in the foreground. I kinda get Yagyu Jubei vibes from the guy too, kinda Onimusha 2ish, lol
