yes, a man. XDsame background, i drew him around the same time as ??? no.8. there a few more characters using the same BG.
BG was not required, i just put the floor in for shadows of the person.
uploaded again, this is my 3rd try...hopefully it works

His foot anatomy looks off place for me. Like his back foot should be facing the other way. I think drawing the feet work might make better sense. The way his body twists also makes me thing his feet should be switched. o.O Great overall.

Wicked slash he's doing. This greatly reminds me of the skill "Lacerator" used by Warriors in the MMORPG, Trickster Online. Only difference is that that one is a lateral chop downward completely perpendicular to the ground which can strike multiple foes in a line. It shakes the screen too, which is awesome.

This pic has one of the strongest & dynamic compositions I've ever seen. The perspective and the triangular symmetry of figure, weapon, and broken/ cut floor is fantastic. The damaged floor feels a bit to dark or heavy on the contrast; it wants to segregate itself from the figure because it feels so different (from the texture and the contrasts) than the coloring style on the character.
I still love this pose for its dynamic qualities.
