yes, a man. XDsame background, i drew him around the same time as ??? no.8. there a few more characters using the same BG.
BG was not required, i just put the floor in for shadows of the person.
uploaded again, this is my 3rd try...hopefully it works
OK, it works.

he wasnt attacking the floor, the sword was just so big that it hit the floor on the way to hitting the target. but since he is powerful, the floor did not stop his movement

The image is great, but I'll do a bit of constructive criticism, the forward leg is a bit weird, the back feet seems not proportionate like the leg, apart from that it great

I must say it's nice to see something in a more extreme perspective than your usual works
But I have a little critique too: it looks like his upper body half leans backwards, while his lower body and legs seem to be lunging forward into an attack.(Eventhough his clothes go with the sword movement.) Also, the tassel-things are very similar color as his hair, which makes it a bit difficult to see that it's not his hair. xDD

As much as I admire your artwork, and the fact that you don't post an overly pretty boy,
I have to say that at first glance I was very confused about his pose.
It seemed to me like he was doing the swipe standing with his back to the viewer,
but then I looked at his feet and after staring at them to figure out how exactly he was standing, I finally saw it.
My guess is that the 'loincloth' makes it hard to discern, but overall a great pic.
oh, and one small question:
to me it seems rather painful to have these lion-thingies (the true name eludes me right now) on your knees,
because they don't look very easy to move.
