DISCLAIMER! I do not claim to be an authority on drawing men, this is only one of the many methods and it's very far from the best.Still, I hope it is informative, and that it will be helpful especially to anime/manga-style artists who are tired of drawing bishounen and want to draw manly men for a change.
I'm not very satisfied with this really, I feel I should have drawn more examples (or better examples at the least). If there's anything in my handwriting that you can't read, tell me so and I will translate the hieroglyphics...

Not that there's anything wrong with bishounen, but if that's how people draw guys ALL THE TIME and not just because of art style, then it gets kinda boring, and there's nothing other than generic facial features and hair styles to differentiate a group of different male characters.
AND, my bishounen loving friends may keel me for this, but I too prefer my men to look like MEN.

Thank you for doing this! My favorite thing about your art is the way you draw men. They just have a lot more solidity and naturalness to them then the skinny feminine men other artists depict.

...Ahem. Sorry. But I too am tired of the wimpy, girly looking men. We like guys who can actually defend us, make us feel safe, and kick some considerable ASS. That's way more attractive than guys who look like girls and could probably be snapped in half like a toothpick during a fight.
[/end rant]. Aaaanyways, this is awesome and very helpful. Notice that your men also have about 3867106778462967 times the depth of character than the boring, 2-Dimensional girly men. Bravo.

Small things really do make a difference. I mean, if you suddenly forget to draw pupils on your characters, someone's bound to notice.

Oh yeah, Neil Gaiman... what astounds me about Sandman is that the storyline seems so incredibly well-planned. And no matter what order you read the volumes in, everything will make sense in the end. I can't say if it really is the best comic ever written (because there are some Gaiman haters out there and I have no clue WHY) but one thing's for sure... Sandman is a vast, unforgettable epic about many aspects of human nature and the inevitability of change.

interesting...we all strive to depict the real world, yet women, who are more numerous than men, you find harder to draw...i have the same problem...but you seem to be a looot better at hiding it than me...
