Description
This is a character design I created for a course based on the narrative potential of gaming. We were supposed to present a progression of at least 3 stages. So, this stubby guy was inspired by the growth of an acorn, which begins to sprout, and finally branches out! XD

His home is among a colony within an oak tree. His kind are small creatures, adorning themselves with dried, fallen leaves and hunting insects for various purposes. He starts out quite wary and innocent, with a spider-web net that catches the smallest of bugs. Then he sprouts into a more confident adventurous type, showing off his skills with a grass-hopper leg bow. Finally, he grows (oh, the puns I'm planting) into a hardened warrior, defending his home with a rhino-beetle spear and shield. A rather light to dark transition...

Definitely had fun with this project! Nice not to have to worry so much about human anatomy... ^^
