Zelus: “Whatcha dooin’?”

Desti: “Eh? Oh. It’s... you. I’m just... hanging out.”

Zelus: “You mean brooding?” *giggles*

Desti: *rolls eyes* “Yeah, sure. Whatever.”

Zelus: “I don’t see you socializing with the others, much. What gives?”

Desti: *sigh* “Well... there’s... just a lot going on right now and I feel like I need some time to process it all.”

Zelus: “Oh, I understand. This predicament with Mario and Meggy must be worrying you sick!”

Desti: “Before all this happened, I... didn’t get along well with Meggy. Wasn’t on great terms with Mario either. But whatever this thing we’ve gotten pulled into is, I... don’t feel good about the fact that they’re smack dab in the middle of it. The others seem pretty antsy to get them out of there, for obvious reasons. But YOU... *narrows eyes* You seem a little too happy-go-lucky.”

Zelus: “Oh... well, that’s just my personality! Sure, it’s a bad situation, but I’m hopeful that we can defeat Meggario and I enjoy being a hero! I’m your friendly neighborhood superinkling!” *strikes a cutesy pose*

Desti: “Right. Because heroes wear black leather jackets and have eyes that make them look demonically possessed.”

Zelus: *lets her arms drop and sighs, looking a little put down* “Oh really? Hmph. You know what? You might not believe me when I say I’m here to help, but I believe you when you admit you didn’t get along with Meggy. She doesn’t sound like the type to hang out with bullies.” *walks away, but pauses before leaving the room* “You’ll see how much of a hero I am, Desti! Just you wait!” *leaves*

Desti: *looks down at the ground* “Something about her seems off... but maybe Dan’s right. Maybe she is being honest, and she just needs to prove it, once the action starts. And when that happens...
...maybe I need to prove I can do good, too.”

So my fellow SMG4 fanartist MasterPerryMartin has this format of sorts where he’ll have a single image, no text boxes, but dialogue in the description as if it were a full comic. I decided to try it for myself and so far, it’s looking good. This is taking place during Project MXM - Chapter 8: Love Conquers All. While Dan, SMG4, and Luigi take a trip to Inkopolis, everyone else stays behind in the Mushroom Kingdom to try to enjoy a bit of peace while they still can. Desti and Zelus... aren’t exactly bonding.

Speaking of Zelus, over at her home series of OnyxKing’s bloopers, the Revenge of Zelus Arc is finally complete! After two years, it’s all lead up to (SPOILER ALERT)

...Zelus turning into an .EXE and getting vaporized by JoJo Mario.

...WELL it’s SM64 bloopers. Regardless of what the tone is supposed to be, expect memes in every nook and cranny. For better or for worse.
