Here is the tutorial, its my first one so don't be too harsh please, hope it can help some people.Oh and this is a pdf file, you will need to right click on download and select save as.

This is a really great tutorial, but I have just one question. What do you do with the layer that has the sketch on it? Do you just delete it?

well the sketch usually disappears as you paint the fur, but if you have any bits of the original sketch that are showing that you don't want to show then just remove the sketch layer. Hope this helps, I wrote this tutorial a while ago and have slightly changed my technique.

thanks, yeah i used a tablet but i think you can use a mouse as well to do fur, but a tablet is always better

Ok iv read through it , understood it , and im gonna put it into practice but painting my dog , so you can see how that turns out when its done
the tutorial was very good , explains quote clearly what i have to do without having eassays to read

its very good, but i would recommend a graphics tablet for it, painter is like a traditional art studio in a digital enviroment, so you have oils, pastels, pencils, acrylics, water colours, felt tips, etc, etc, etc all at the end of your stylus. if you don't have a graphics tablet photoshop is better.

sounds good... might look into it ..... i have a tablet ... not all that good though so ill be upgrading sometime
