Ord Haesarn is a moderately-sized colony world situated just off the Perlemian Trade Route. Colonized in 1204 BTC (Before the Treaty of Coruscant) by primarily Twi'lek expatriates fleeing the slave trade, it gained Republic membership in 813 BTC, and by that time had become a thriving industrial world, producing large quantities of commerical starship components and housing it's own native mining and refining industries on the twin moons of Lamark and Jasaen. During the Old Sith Wars it was designated an Ordinance/Regional Depot, and the name has stuck through the centuries.

During the Great War following return of the Sith Empire Ord Haesarn's government made the decision to defect well before the Empire inevitably reached the edges of their star system. After putting down a series of revolts in 22 BTC they succesfully negotiated client-state status with the Sith Imperial Government and held their own manufacturing industries hostage as leverage during the negotiations. Despite all expectations the now Imperial-Aligned Ord Haesarn government obtained the deal succesfully, and over the next five and a half decades would be a reliable and efficient provider of both raw materiel and starship components for the Imperial Military.

The system also provides for the Imperial Military through it's own Planetary Defense Force, sending a regiment-sized formation to liason with the Empire periodically known as the Ord Haesarn Subjugate Legion, the Legion operates under Imperial officers and subordinates itself to imperial military-proper chain of command, but by-and-large is made up of Haesarn-Born Twi'leks. Over the course of the first, second, and third Great Galactic Wars it has gained a particular fondness for Artillery, and can often be found supporting Imperial Shocktrooper operations.
