Description Copper, 16x16 cm each. I made these as examples for a class I was teaching on contemporary Arts and Crafts copper work. The bookend on the right has a design cut right through the thickness of the metal, with chased details. The pattern is of a Wapato/Camas flower. They are common here, and the bulbs are edible, if cooked properly. The bookend on the left has the design cut into an overlay plate that is riveted on, and engraved for detail. The pattern is a group of psychoactive mushrooms, which are also common here, and eaten by some. The class went well and all the students made lovely bookends as well, mostly with falling leaf or sea life patterns.

If MY jewelry & metals teacher made examples this cool, I would have probably had a bit more inspiration and creativity in his class. That being said, he prohibited us from using cannabis leaves or psilocybin mushrooms in our work.

You need to take classes from me then. Unfortunately it is a long way from where you live to the Metal Crafting Center in Seattle, where I usually teach.

Like some people I know they aren't cheap, but they are available.
