Description
I recently borrowed an English wheel, and so to teach myself to use it I made a set of copper bicycle fenders for my old mountain bike that I converted for urban use. Forming the fenders was no big deal, but making all the brackets and mounts, and stays was sort of a pain, as was the fitting. They work beautifully, though if I were to do then over again I would make the back of the front fender a little longer.Related content

Shame copper is so heavy and turns brown so quickly. I had some bike fenders I bought years ago that were plastic coated thin aluminum and nearly indestructible and light weight, so they were a lot more practical, but not nearly as cool looking.
