pointe shoes & the dancer wearing them are so beautiful yet they are so painful. I was a dancer with a company for 9 years. Now i just do lyrical dance at church. Dance is so passionate and so beautiful, once you start its so hard to stop because it is engraved into one's soul. I love to dance and I love this beautiful picture. +fav

There is something inherently beautiful about pointe shoes, and you've captured it beautifully here. I think you're right that it has something to do with passion, as it certainly takes passion to dance pointe.

wow - very nice!! I really like this in black and white - and also the positioning of the feet, with one straight on and one on the side - gives you both views at once and an indication of the curve of the foot when standing on point. well done
