Description RELOADED because the image was *not* working for some reason, and I have no clue as to why. Hope it works this time.

I actually wanted to call this ‘Binary System,’ for the two moons and other semi-badly-poetic reasons, but there wasn’t room. Ah well. So. As the title and the subtle watermark-ish text over the bottom right of this image might suggest, this piece was a commission- and thank you so much to Pamela for giving me a chance to draw my favorite characters for fun and profit (and for the chatty emails while I was working!) She’s been patient and fun and awesome, and this has been all round a great experience for me.

Er- right, the drawing. P. wanted something at least somewhat ZADR, in an emotional way, and sort of specified poses for me. For the background she essentially said that she didn’t know, but I should do something that was easy for me and ‘spacey’ I’m not sure about easy, exactly, but I kind of latched on to the space part, and I love my two moons up there. Plus it gives me some sense of context- I can pretend this came after the space sodas and the bunnies, or something

I cannot draw the Voot, however. And yes, Dib is sitting on the control panel, though why some of the controls are on that side I don’t understand anyways, so nyah.

This was also my first time using Perfex ink on a piece of fanart. It’s imported, quick drying black matte ink that’s just perfect for backgrounds and big black spaces, but it’s also dangerous (for me) because one drip and that’s the end of everything. Also it stains my brushes. I love it, but I handle with extreme care.

FULLVIEW. ALWAYS.

Oh yeah.. I love this picture. For some reason I think it looks very life-like. Almost like you were standing there drawing them as they were actually posed like that. I don't know why I think this.. but I guess that's just me. It's defintely going to be a favourite of mine.

I really like the textures in the ink. Did you scratch into it while it was still wet?

Veddy eenterestink.

Nah, this stuff dries in a snap. About five seconds tops, I'd say. I drew on top of the ink with a variety of colored pencils.

Dib looks so cute and natural in this one. Lovely poses. So romantic!

Sorry if this double-posts. My comp sucks.

No double-posting here ^^

Glad you like. (random babble starts here Dib is odd in that usually I look through a whole lot of reference pictures and pull from all of them to create the poses I draw, but with him I can *never* find what I want. I always wind up posing myself and sketching while I'm all tensed up in odd, contorted ways. That he came out looking natural despite this takes a load off my mind.

Haha, well, even by doing that you try harder than most artists, who just recycle the same pose or pull poses out of their asses (like I do ). I think he looks very relaxed and cute here.

See, I am so impresssed by people who can just take what's in their heads and put it on the page without needing reference. That, to me, says that you have a really good style all your own, so whether it's right or not it *works* XD;;

Its very lovely! The colors are extremely vibrant, which impresses me because scanning usually loses some of that. And the background is completely sexy.

Thanku, darling. Double thankus, even. I wanted to cut those moons out of the picture and keep them for myself >___>;;

I always make the contrast +5 or so once I've scanned something in, to try and combat the fade.
