The PMAS 51a Carbine is a close, medium-quarter Plasma pulse assault rifle designed to be simple, compact, rugged and have good accuracy, while at the same time being a finacial implement in mass-production.

The PMAS 51a Carbine, as it's name implies, is a short barreled assault weapon designed for close combat or spec. ops missions.

It's light-weight due to it's less dense alloy shell, and due to it's unique loading mechanism, which is simple to clean and fix, but performs a complex action that gives the Carbine a very good rate of fire. The Gun is also very balanced in terms of weight distribution due to: One~ The Ammunition is held in a battery charge pack that is placed in the back of the weapon, just above the handle, so it is very center balanced and can allow easier handling of the blaster, two~ the barrel actually uses a denser metal than the loading mechanism, supressing the recoil, making accuracy increase better. The Weapon also has a laser dot targeting system, which has a sealed targeting system, making cleaning easier.

The best part of the rifle is it's charge pack, which allows 60 shots to be discharged in rapid sucession either in automatic, semi, or three burst , or 12 power sniper rounds when using a PMAS 51a fitted with a longer barrel, a scope, and a stock.

The Weapon itself is based on it's older brother, the PMAS-i50x Weapons system in that it uses a similar loading mechanism, has a same overall design, and has the same feel, unfortunately, it also suffers drawbacks like the PMAS weapons system.

The Weapon, due to it's unique loading system, is often confusing unless placed placed into the right hands, also the targeting system is set on a standard distance, meaning that calibration is often required. The round itself is also very low in stopping power compared to the PMAS-i50x, and requires several shots to take down a target, and with only 60 rounds, that is a problematic error.

However, the Carbine was designed for Project EXAMPLAR, in which it can counter most problems and use the weapon to it's peak efficiency and deadliness.
