The entire premise of this Acts of Vengeance story is a cabal of high level super villains sending lower level villains of one hero (or team of heroes) out to fight heroes they don't usually battle in the hopes that unfamiliar foes will result in a win for the cabal. It's like trying to diet by switching to a different flavor in your coffee creamer. It's still filled with cream and sugar, my dude. Ain't gonna fly.⁣

So for instance, a bunch of X-Men villains were sent to instead attack the Avengers in New York. One of them is this jolly fellow, Fred Dukes, the Blob. He is mutant with the power to be unmovable (is that even a word?). He's also, as you can see, super fat. Hence "the Blob." He got his villain codename on Obvious Day.⁣

Anyway, Blob is super formidable and can hold his own, due to his immovability powers, strength and rubbery durability, with some really powerful heroes like Colossus and the Hulk. Make all the fat jokes you want, he don't care...this is one confident mofo. ⁣
