Description
I hadn't done an angel in a while, and I haven't done a male angel at all since Malloreth, so I thought it was time to go there again. Although I believe I will be calling this character Lucien, here modeled after ~nobledeath-stock , in the future, and thinking of him as a kind of a cross between Michael the Archangel and Puck the forest spirit, for now I will just present him as he is to you: a mysterious being of shadow taking a breather after a hard day's work in his domain, from =CausticStock , and enjoying a draught of whatever it is such a being would drink to help him unwind at the end of a long day. The ravens are actually twins. They are meant to remind one of the myth of the Norse god Odin and his two all-seeing pet ravens that would inform him of all that was going on all over the world. Wonderful angel... With the 2 ravens and the chalice, I see a bit of Odin just before he took a drink to gain wisdom and the loss of his eye... Beautiful...

Excellent. He looks like a confident, powerful, dark sort of angel. And the setting you have him in and the two ravens. The colors used. A very nice work of art indeed.

Thanks! He seemed like a twisted sword kind of guy.

Handsome one! He looks like a David Bowie avartar IMO. But what's with the sword? Seems like there's a deeper meaning to having it twisted, and if there is I'd like to know it .

Ha ha... lots of people say I pick guys that look like David Bowie! I'm a huge fan, so maybe I'm choosing subconsciously? I'm not sure there was a truly planned out deeper meaning to the sword being twisted. I just meant for this character to be more of a dark angel, and it seemed that if he were to have a sword it would be either twisted or serrated. I thought the twisted was more interesting looking.

Indeed the sword was! But it'll be hard to use that way, so I kept thinking something in the line of "non-violence", you know like that gun which has been tied into a knot.
And David Bowie, he has his cute moments, especially when he looks like a clean-cut androgynic like in the "Thin White Duke" era.

Oh totally. I've always thought David Bowie was awesome. I've been a fan of his since I was a little girl and Labyrinth first came out.

I like some of his work, mainly late 70:ies and early 80:ies. And that co-work with pet Shop Boys he did some decade back. I'm mostly found of his voice.

Thank you! The ravens are actually twins. I thought it would be cool to have two the same, like the Norse god Odin has for his watchers.

How befitting is this male characterization. He's regal and majestic and beguiles the envious eyes by his strong mannerism nature. I find that what you did with his stock to be a sincere compliment. How admirable and genuinly dominating this piece has demonstrated from your talented heart. I adore it soooooooo very much!
