Description
Some of you might know that this is really the first winter I have spent somewhere where it happens to snow in the winter since I was a very little girl. I can't seem to get enough of the beauty of trees and buildings covered in snow. I am also enjoying these beautiful little red cardinal birds that come out and play in the fresh snow, and make such a beautiful contrast to the snow itself. I decided that they really needed a queen, so I created one for them. A strange question: how you say that name? with an e at the ending or without? I always was confused by my english-teacher doing it sometimes so and sometimes other ^^

The winter queen

Thank you! This winter was my first one spent somewhere it actually snowed, so I went nuts with snow paintings a couple of months ago. I especially loved the little cardinals, which I had never seen before.

This is beautiful. The red on the white is such a nice contrast. I live in a part of Texas where we almost never get snow, but we have lots of cardinals and they are beautiful anywhere. I can imagine, especially with the way you depicted it, that they are really beautiful contrasted against the white snow.
You have done a magnificent job on this. The details are wonderful.

The winter is a whirlwind of enchantment and magic; I'm so glad that at last since your childhood you can at last become part of that traditional sense of its snowy bewitchment. It shows that you've found inner expression from its snow flakes presence; especially the inneraction with the cardnials.
