The idea of the path not taken is a common one, to be sure, but it is an idea that is fascinating to me. It would seem that in this world there is very little reward for those who refuse to take risks and go where very few, or even none, have ever gone before. The woman in this piece, modeled after ~princessirulan-stock , is walking on water to symbolize doing what would seem to be impossible, and she wears a wreath of pale flowers around her head to show that she is pure of heart. She has obviously been rewarded for taking a risk and traveling off the beaten path, and said reward is illustrated by the heavenly light radiating from whatever is in front of her.Related content

Very nice. 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost is one of my personal favorite poems. You've done a great job of illustrating the meaning of that path not taken and your description sums up all the symbolism in your painting so well.
I always enjoy your descriptions because they explain so well the personal significance of much of the paintings they accompany. I have your calendar, which I love, but I do miss the descriptions that go with the pieces.

That is so beautiful, she definately looks like a blessed being with all the light and the lovely flowers, almost goddess like, it looks like she is walking into the light as well. Another gorgeous piece, the story-lines behind these drawings are beautiful as well, a reflection of a sacred spirit.......
