Description

Like Goggles, Splattertail is a relatively minor character, only showing up for a few scenes in Season 4 of Dragons: The Nine Realms. Like Goggles and Shadow, he's Thunder's little sibling, with arguably the most interesting (unique?) patterning of the bunch. It's almost a shame that they didn't make him the "main sibling" of the trio of Thunders little siblings...

The issues I had with Splattertails original design were:

- The same issues as Goggles design... this also comes up in Shadows design...

- Splattertails markings didn't look extensive enough, particularly on his tail... the random white spots on his tail in particular looked weird...

Splattertail, like Goggles, is now an older Juvenile/Adolescent Nightlight, with all the awkwardness that entails. His neck isn't quite as long as his sisters, but it's still long enough to make his head look too large for his body. In addition, his head looks more like a Light Furies, being comparatively short and round in profile. He has the most rounded wings and pelvic wings of the trio of siblings, again bearing some resemblance to a "purebred" Lightfurys wings and pelvic wings. Unlike his cannon design, Splattertail now sports an all black tail that looks similar to Pouncer's in terms of starting mostly white and transitioning to mostly black in color... though on Splattertail, the black spotting is more extensive. I also added a blue tint to his wings and underbelly, and a black Skunk Stripe. His spotting is slightly more extensive than the cannon design's, with some of it extending down to his face. Like Goggles and his mother, Splattertail can cloak himself by flying through his own plasma blast.
