Nice! For some reason the subject matter strikes me as darkly funny. I absolutely love the shading too. What medium did you use? It's very effective.

The entire piece was done with a mechanical pencil, with the exception of the dark shadow on the back wall; I used a leadless for better surface area coverage.

whoa, what a dramatic picture! the shading is very effective. you did an amazing job. not a lot of people are gutsy enough to post a pic with political and/or contriversial subjects. good job.
