Oh my lord. There's MY LITTLE PONY YURI???! I'm sorry, but I never thought rule 34 would go this far. I mean, for goodness sakes, 5 year olds play with these toys!

Yes, it's sad, but true.
Unfortunately, rule 34 knows no bounds.

Didn't the show's creator say she wanted MLP: FIM to focus on adventures and friendship and stuff, rather than romantic relationships? Why would anyone apply a sexuality, gay or straight, to the ponies?

That's what I'd like to know. Hopefully there are other real fans like us out there who respect the show.

blayzebright In reply to Gray-Rose [2011-06-07 18:13:53 +0000 UTC]

Even though it definitely isn't that kind of show, that doesn't mean that sex does not occur in their world. In fact their creator specified that it did. That given, it would be hard to imagine a largely Utopian society like theirs having any sort of bias for or against it.

At any rate: this show has a huge adult audience, so these things are going to happen. Aside from that, there's nothing wrong with gay people using her as a hero. Gods know there are too few awesome gay characters on TV, most of them are just used as comedy pieces.

You know, she never said she was't a lesbian.

Before you get all mad at me, I'm not saying she's a lesbian. I'm just saying Rainbow Dash and everyone else on MLP never said what their sexualiy is.

So for all you know she could be a lesbian, or she could be straight.
I really hate it when people THINK they know what sexualiy a made-up person is. When you say she's straight, your just as bad as the ones that say she's a lesbian.

P.S. I don't think she's a lesbian, nor do I think she's straight. For all I know, she's pansexual.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BigTylerAustin In reply to luck-star-fox99 [2011-06-22 21:06:50 +0000 UTC]

The show is geared towards 5 year old girls, so sexuality doesn't even exist in that show

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

writemaster93 In reply to BigTylerAustin [2011-06-25 23:55:38 +0000 UTC]

That's true.
Even though it has an adult audience, it's still a kid show!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

luck-star-fox99 In reply to BigTylerAustin [2011-06-22 22:33:44 +0000 UTC]

Then why did you say she's straight if you say sexuality dosn't exist in that show.

Sheesh, they're even bringing pairings into a show about ponies and friendship? Granted, I'm not a fan of the show, but the pairings feel out of place... actually all non canon pairings feel out of place in any show or movie or game. O.o;

Detharmonics In reply to ??? [2011-05-31 15:04:01 +0000 UTC]

Everyone that wears rainbows (or IS rainbow in this pony's case) shouldn't be deemed possibly homosexual just because some fruitcake in San Francisco turned it into the pride flag. 'Tis unfair and homosexist.

I see someone wearing green, I won't assume they're Irish, because green isn't exclusively ours. I see someone in a blue shirt, red pants, and white boots, I won't assume they're American. They could be any number of nationalities, French, Russian, American, British, or anything else and they just like the color combination. Red white and blue isn't a combination that belongs to anyone exclusively.
So with that said, I think ANYONE that tries to claim EVERY SINGLE COLOR IN THE RAINBOW for their group is a tad greedy to say the least. Rainbow Dash is simply not a lesbian. I've known and been known as a tomboy back in the day. Meaning ten years ago, when wee little seven-year-old me was not a lesbian, which has never changed. Still a straight tomboy. The end.

PS; I like straight pairings too. Everyone seems to make such a big deal, calling het fans homophobic, heterosexist, etc.
OH BUGGER OFF, THE LOT OF YOU. None of this applies to real life people. I ever meet a gay guy or a lesbian, they’re welcome in my house any day of the week. Yaoi/yuri on the other hand, is another story.

PPS; Very well made stamp.

I don't even watch MLP, and I'm bothered by the manner of Rainbow Dash being thrown around like this. Sure, I'm not 100% tomboy, but many consider me to be one, even my boyfriend called me so. I try to avoid wearing or affiliating with rainbows BECAUSE of those stereotypes. I'm a straight woman who doesn't act girly, but kinda likes rainbows. I wish I could like them without being lumped together as a lesbian or bisexual, as do I wish that Rainbow Dash could exist without this sort of thing. xmx This could be one of the only reasons keeping me from watching the show- the fan basis. -m-;;

Nice stamp, nice stamp indeed.

Personally,I agree with this completly.Just because she's a tomby,doesn't make her a lesbian.And just because they're close friends in the show,doesn't mean any of them are in a relationship or have crushes on eachother.It's a KID'S show for pete's sake!And I'm tired of people thinking ANYTHING with a rainbow on it is to represent gayness!(I had a rainbow cake for my birthday,and was offended when my friend pointed out what it represented.-.- And I'm straight,mind you.)Thanks for making this stamp!Someone needed to make one!^^
