Despite his lack of social interaction, Matt was and still is quite a cheerful young man. He is almost always in a good mood, and this demeanor is not easily broken. He does not get mad or upset over trivial matters, and will often just laugh off a bad day with no problem.

Matthias sees no point in lies, and will never try to hide his true self. He is always very open about who he is and the problems he's faced. Unfortunately, this makes him brutally honest with others, and often puts people off. He's not trying to be rude, but he wouldn't change his moral views for someone just so they will enjoy his company.

Since he switched schools often, and was differant from the other kids, Matthias never made many friends. Because of this, he isn't very good at interacting with other people and can make awkward statements accidentally. If he doesn't know how to continue a conversation he will just stay quiet, and perhaps look around for help.

Because he hasn't had much interaction with others, there are some things that are a bit 'off' about Matthias. Wearing a mask unfortunately causes 80% of this trait. Matthias was born into a life of hardship. His biological mother gave him up for adoption, as she had him accidentally at 18 and was not ready for a child. That is... the normalized version. She had left him on the doorstep of an orphanage in the middle of the night, with a sleeping mask over his eyes and a note explaining to never look the child directly in the eyes, for there was a curse laid on him. No one found him until the next morning, since he was an eerily quiet baby and had not cried the entire night. The first person who found him didn't take heed of the note attached to his beat up cradle, and took off his mask. Her shreik could be heard from a block away. When the police arrived, they found the baby, eyes closed, sound asleep. And a young woman on the ground next to him, fainted from terror.

His life at the orphanage was not easy. Many kids avoided him, and no one wanted to foster him when they heard about the 'curse' that he would bring into their home. He was forced to wear tinted sunglasses, which made it hard for him to see, but protected people from his cursed gaze. Eventually, He crafted himself his first mask. It was simple, and had two eyes drawn eyes and a crooked smile. He hoped that this would make him seem more friendly.

Even though his life was qute hard, he excelled in his studies and was a perfect student. This led him to receive a scholarship to a very high- end middle school while he was still in the orphanage. Though he still didn't fit in with many of the students at this school, he was a teachers pet and got high marks. Though he excelled in most courses, he had a knack for Music. He felt that certain melodies held a 'power' to whisk you off to a differant time or place. It intruiged him, and he found himself studying it diligently. He had heard of the Idol buissness, and that there were several highschools dedicated to training kids in music studies. He decided that this was something he potentially wanted to pursue. In preperation, he studied music theory, and took band, choir, and orchestra as electives each year.

His Choir teacher was a perky young Pikachu named Miss. Josiah. She took a liking to the young Matthias, tutoring him in voice, and giving him advice when he was feeling down. She would tell him stories about how she also had dreams of becoming an Idol when she was his age, and insisted that he had so much potential as a singer. One evening she questioned him on his living situation, as she had noticed that he spent a lot of time at the school instead of at home. He blunly explained that he was an Orphan, and would rather spend his time at school than at the orphanage. Moved for the boy, The Pikachu visited the orphanage within the next week. After a month of paperwork, She and her Spouce (An outgoing Raichu who 'wasn't afraid of no curse' and was equally outraged that a young boy had gone so long without a proper home) finally took Matt in as foster parents. They officially adopted him two years later.

Matthias was overjoyed to have found loving parents, breaking down in tears as they offically brought him home. A rare sight for him. He looked up to both of his new parents immensely, and though they encouraged him to follow whatever dreams he may have for himself, he sincerely wanted to follow in his Mom's footsteps and become a singer / director. His Raichu Mother is also a big inspiration to him. She's a nurse who is really into costuming, and is an excellant seamstress. Though she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty, and play catch with her son either. She Helped him invision and create the mask and tail he wears to this day. He styled the mask after Pikachu, as he wanted to feel like a part of the family. Both the mask and the tail are very high quality material, and He rarely ever takes them off.

Graduating at the top of his class, Matthias basically recived a free ride to the school of his choice. Since he truly loved music and wanted to further his skills, he of course chose the prestigious Volana Academia. He Hopes to not only learn music and become an idol, but also actually make friends for a change!
