Description Odango tutorial! This is made specifically for a Sailor Moon wig, but it can be used for any type of bun you need (especially bigger ones).

These style odangos can be used without a ponytail or stub as well, they'll just have to be attached differently. Good for styles that have buns, but no hair pulled back (ex. Human Luna).

I finished this while I was sick, so if there's a lot of grammatical/spelling errors, I'm sorry. orz

Next up!: Sailor Moon wig tutorial! (Which is the one I started first, but ended up needing to finish these 2 first. Lol.)

Ahhhh! I'm going to do Human Luna as well! Thank you for posting this! I was having a hard time finding what to do for the odango without buying a pre styled wig!

What about with clip on ponytails? I'm cosplaying Chiyo-chan media.animevice.com/uploads/0/… and I'm kinda confused.

Could I use this method to make heart odangos like for sailor cosmos?

Oooh... I was looking for something on how to make a stuffed material ball odango... But I think I like this method a whole lot better. Not that I have the balls to create the look with right now... and buying crafts stuff is nowhere near in my budget, but I really do adore this. Thank you for the tut!

Could you make a tutorial on how to attach the buns to the wig? Or have you done that already?

Great tutorial! I have a question though. I was actually planning on attaching my odangos to my head using clips(I'm going to be cosplaying the new player character from Pokemon Black and White 2). Would this technique work if I made the hole smaller?

It would probably be a little harder to wrap, but a smaller hole should work fine.

I love your tutorial and I shall hopefully be having a good go at it myself soon. But I would like to know where you buy your styrofoam balls from.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

I get mine at Wal-Mart. They're usually in the kid's craft section.
