Ushas breathed deeply and pushed as hard as she could, the universe had spent long peaceful eons inside her womb, but now it insisted on emergence. A she pushed stars began to spread out underneath her and made their way into the vast emptiness that surrounded her.

When after an un fathomable amount of time she finished pushing she rose to green the universe. Like any mother who has just given birth the sight of her child, the universe itself, took away all her pain. She rose to greet the Universe and found that he powers of light were stronger than before. Had pregnancy grown her powers somehow? She yearned to answer this question but set about discovering the universe. Now all that surround her was was more than light, it was form. She could hold it and touch it. It was an exciting to sensation, to touch something that wasn't herself. She sped around the galaxy. She was a creature of light and could travel as fast as light speed but she couldn't take it all in quickly enough. She slowed down when she saw a glowing golden ball. She reached out and touched it.

The ball of light was hot to the touch. It scalded a little. This is how Usha received the first known sunburn on her hand. It was very much like she was....emanating light. As she had previously had her fill of nothing but light, she continued exploring. Finally she found something that really piqued her interest.

She found a yellow ball with a shiny blue one circling it. It was wet to the touch. Wet....a sensation she had never experienced. Her hands wrinkled at it's touch. It was emitting an interesting smell. She had never smelled anything before, the sensation startled her. Out of curiosity she began to lick some of the water off of her hands. It was very salty. She began to wonder what other smells and flavor this new universe had to offer.

She examined it closely, putting it up to her face. She saw continents, oceans and island. They looked like inviting places to visit. As a supreme being made of light, size was of no consequence. She had fit a condensed universe inside her womb before it had expanded out into the Universe. She would now shrink her matter down so that she could stand on the planets surface.

Although there was much of the universe to explore Ushas would spend the majority of her earlier days as a mother here, in a place she would come to call Earth.

We mere mortals could not truly comprehend what a goddess looked like, even if she were sitting next to a her. As such, their appearances change constantly, as seen picture to picture.
