Really first class technique and subject.

However, I have the following three issues:

(1) Cannons in the age of sail were so inaccurate that despite having a range of several miles (larger ones at least), range was not opened until distances were very much shorter.Β  British Royal Navy policy was to hold fire until the range has closed to fifty yards.

(2) Pirate ships were small and fast.Β  A triple decker ship of the line would have required a crew of 800 + (mostly for serving the cannons) and would have been way too slow and unwieldy to be used for piracy.Β

(3) Finally, why are the gun ports open on the port (left) side of the pirate ship, unless there is a target to port that is not included in the picture?

Thank you for the comment.

I have actually not a clue about naval warfare of the 18th century.

A crew of more than 800, they needed for sure a lot of space for victuals and they had no coldstores.
I don't wanna eat that, I don't wanna even smell that!

The gun ports are open in the imported 3d model, it would be almost impossible to change that.

The better way would be if I had changed the flags, (Pirate ship on background)

I do not create serious art, I do just play arround...

Thanks for getting back to me on my comment.

The primary reason a triple decker needed 800+ crew members was because each of the 100 or more cannons required a crew of six men, plus more men and boys to bring a steady stream of gunpowder and canon balls to each gun position as rapidly as possible.Β  Crew members also had to be available for damage control and removing the wounded from the action.

Sailors slept in hammocks, lived on about one quart of water daily, and ate salted pork and hard biscuits.Β  Scurvy was a real killer until it was discovered that lime juice provided the missing vitamins.Β

Generally sailing warships shortened down to quote fighting sail unquote by taking in some of their lower sails to keep them out of the way.Β  In decent weather and no combat in prospect only about forty men could handle the sails. Other Crew members included carpenters, sail makers, medical personnel, cooks, blacksmiths, and officers for navigation.Β

Best Regards.

That would be possible,
the more difficult part is to place all of the vikings in the boat.

Nice, Pirates with a Ship of the Line First Ranking with 100+ Cannons on three decks ... there must be a very unhappy british admiral somewhere .... with a very short career from now on
