Well, here he is 
I'm finally revealing my new baby, Caius. And holy crap did this take a long time to make! I mean, you guys have no idea how long I spent working on this 
I wanted to get it out before Halloween, but that just…wasn’t going to happen. Either way, I’m really proud that I got the effects and such to look the way I wanted them to. This was a real challenge to create, but I’m pretty satisfied with the result 
Random Facts
Caius is actually one of two main characters in the story I’ve created. The other is Scarlett, a calico witch who has a long and complicated history with the mischievous spirit.
Caius is a “Marked spirit” meaning he’s killed a living cat and can never pass on. The mark of a spirit like this is a stain of darkness which can be felt but not seen. All supernatural creatures are aware of it in some way.
As a ghost, Caius is usually invisible to mortals. Over the years he’s gathered the strength to make himself visible to them, but only for short periods of time. He can, however, be seen by witches like Scarlett.
He was alive either in the late 1800s or very early 1900s (I haven’t decided just yet 
) and has been a ghost for over a hundred years.
The fire-like substance that surrounds his alternate forms can vary widely in size, shape, and consistency. He can also take on a form completely composed of this “fire” to move from place to place in a hurry.
His malevolent form is extremely powerful, but that power comes at a price. In this form he is only semi-conscious of his actions, overcome by dark energy, and prone to maliciousness which is very unlike him. He could very easily hurt someone he cares about. The malevolent form can also take over a spirit permanently, turning them dark and warping their personality. As such, Caius avoids allowing himself to access this form unless absolutely necessary. When in this form he speaks in a warped voice and is able to twist, flip, and turn his head completely around, reflecting the fact that he died from a broken neck.

Breed: Maine coon mix
Nationality: American
Spiritual Status: Marked spirit- Free roaming- Benign
Age: 20 years at death (this is a fantasy story where they have human-like personalities and a human-like society, so, in turn, they have human lifespans).
Height/Build: Average height, without the size or bulk of a purebred Maine Coon. He does, however, have a lean physique and long, strong legs.
Eye Color: Bright blue ghost’s eyes (the ‘whites’ of his eye are a lighter shade of blue, not white). In life they were bright gold.
Distinct Features: Thick hair tuft which usually hangs just below his eyebrows, pointed cheek fur, large ears, long ear tufts, long whiskers, thick brows, large eyes, a long, thick tail, and shaggy fur (particularly around his neck and chest).
Romantic Interest: Scarlett (I hope to get around to making her character sheet sometime in the near future)

Personality: If ever there was an individual for whom the term “mischievous spirit” was created, it would be Caius. One of his favorite activities is playing pranks on the living. Not that other supernatural creatures are exempt from his games. It just so happens his other favorite activity is pestering his best friend and long-time love interest, Scarlett the witch. Besides being a bit of a pain in the ass, Caius is kind, friendly, loyal, and very enthusiastic. He had little to no formal education when he met Scarlett, and was barely able to read. He learned in order to please her, but he won’t crack open a book nowadays unless he has to. Not to say that Caius is stupid. Far from it! Caius is actually surprisingly intelligent, great at solving puzzles and riddles, and surprisingly level-headed in a crisis. He’s confident, strong-willed, and thick-skinned, meaning he’s been known to brush off even the most hurtful insults. It would take a lot to upset him with words alone, and those words would need to be spoken by someone he cares about. The insults of strangers are all but meaningless to him. To put it simply, he’s friendly but has few friends. He’s instinctively distrustful of people he doesn’t know, able to analyze people’s motives while retaining an amiable exterior. Caius comes off as a person who is concerned with having as much fun as possible in as little time as possible, which he is. But because of that, people have a tendency to believe he is careless, and unable to take anything seriously. Scarlett fell squarely into that category when they first met, and was shocked to learn how serious Caius could become to protect someone he loves, how quickly he picked up on signs of danger and discontent, and how far he would go to put an end to them. But I suppose the ultimate test of loyalty would be to die for the one you love, and Caius did just that.
