Found this design challenge by Jayie-The-Hufflepuff and thought it would be fun to try and do it with markers. Made with Micron pens, Caliart + Master's Touch markers, a white gel pen, and Ohuhu paper. I normally like to photograph my drawings, but wasn't happy with how any of the photos for this one looked. Too many varying colors to contend with. The only downside to using the scanner is it blows up streaks or blotches that you can hardly see in real life. That I could live without, but oh well.

For a little rundown on the designs:

Firestar: Not based on any particular breed, but I just really wanted to give him white markings.
Graystripe: Based on a Norwegian forest cat. Love his big bushy eyebrows.
Ravenpaw: Based on an Oriental shorthair. I gave him a few extra white markings so his mouth wouldn't totally fade from existence. He has heterochromia (with a mix of green and pale amber in both eyes), both because of aesthetics and because I feel it fits for a character whose arc revolves around him seeing something he shouldn't to have very distinct-looking eyes. Has a feather-shaped marking over his heart.
Tigerstar: Not based on a breed, but instead inspired by an actual tiger mixed with an old feral tomcat in a colony I used to feed. He was the inspiration for me to give Tigerstar cauliflower ear (an injury to the ears which can leave them deformed after healing), which both assists in making him look beaten up, and also more like a tiger. I am in love with this design, and it really makes me want to draw him more in the future.
Spottedleaf: Based on a Turkish angora. I've always pictured her as a chocolate calico, so brown and cream it is.
Bluestar: Not very original, but she is indeed based on a Russian blue. I really like the winged, hooded eyes on her.
