I get a little tired of people implying (or just outright saying) that anything fatter I draw is always better (no matter how much work I put into something I've just drawn that just happens to look "slimmer" pay no attention to higher quality line art folks!).
I was feeling a bit more irked about it last night than usual, I decided to make a statement with this little "tutorial"
Yes, I could just draw super fat things, yes I could do drawings in 5 minutes flat... why wouldn't I? because I care about quality.
Admittedly I'm just an amature artist, and I don't have nearly as much talent as most people here on DA, but at least I care about some of the art I do.
Bring out the flame throwers

I can understand where you are coming from with this, and yes, an artist should be complimented more on the quality of their picture and not just for producing a picture of an anime girl that looks like large bean bags. It's rather discouraging to submit a picture of a plump girl that you would spend a great deal of time and consideration on, only to have it ignored by the audience, or to have them say, "Can you make her fatter? I would like to see an immobile picture of her." It just kind of exasperating to deal with that kind of stuff.
Anyway, good way to send a message!

to be honest, even though the way you generally draw characters is similar to my "preference", the overall body shapes are not quite what i like. However, the way I've always seen it is that you are creating something based on your likes and out of your mind, not mine -- so my likes are moot when it comes to your art. I've come to really enjoy watching your skill progress over the years, and that's a major part of what keeps me coming back. In fact... as weird as it might sound, I kinda sorta feel proud of you
as for the blob fetish stuff... theres quite an abundance of blob pr0n on the intarwebs, way more than tasteful pudge pr0n... so i dunno what blob fetishist have to complain about

I kinda wish there was a forum for Artists only where you had to be a known Artists to join where there is no request board or "look at this hot girl somone one should draw her fat!" threads. Mostly a Forum where non artists can't join ( it's not to discriminate, just would defeat the purpose of the board) though I suppose a person could join if an artist vouch for and say they will be respectfull and civil (the kind of borad where you could give everyone admin power and not have any problems) although I know some artists are rude and tend to be hot headed but for the most part it would be fine.
The problem with so many veiwers (and how can I say it that all your other comments haven't already...) they just seem to think they are the only one with a good idea for a pic and you would be floored to hear it, more over that their idea may not connect with some of the stuff you've drawn in the past but "thats probably just because they've never told you their brilliant idea!" so how could you draw the 700 pound Faye eating fried chicken like a mad woman when all you draw is plesently plump ones slightly over endulging on Ice Cream? Ok so bad way to put it but I think the basic point is clear... kinda. Most requests are to artists they like not Artists who would be good at doing it (another thing that board would be good for is artists posting ideas or requets they've had or gotten but are either unable or unwilling to compleate and let others know incase they love it) Sometimes I think setting up a request system for people to fill out to get a pic would be the only effecient way
As for PAWG the big problem with them is so many young immature people are attracted to it and thus driven off most of the civil intelegent people and what few remain can't keep them inline. I fear and am already begining to see members of PAWG who act poorly and immature there who now think it's ok to do in the FA community since they get away with it there is they now branch out and harass other forums, FA hangouts and boards and act the same way expecting to get away with it or get laughs and only piss people off, on a number of boards I've seen small time plus size girls getting fed up with people they don't know sendign them E-mails saying they love them and want them ti get fatter and take more revealing pics. Things are getting worse for the FA community and there is no real way to block ourselfs from it or stem it short of taking over PAWG and forcing civility down their throats and the latter is clearly impossible and pointless since we can't force them to act right and can't just take over other peoples forums.
Frankly I see no real Solution other than.. ignoring them
little rude, still involved being pestered, but it's all I can think of :/
the fourm thing may help but it's just a safe haven for artists not a final getaway...

also forgot to sight the focus of the pic about art with the fetish in mind but not the art itself >.O
in that regard there are a few artists I find need to pic up a "how to draw guide" and study basic human Anatomy but I never can bring myself to say anything because I've gotten better at it and can't really go saying their bad since I was like that once. I know I should give more critiziem to help them build but I hate being rude >.<

I can somewhat understand where you're coming from with this, as I can understand how it is to put hard work into something, and then have people complain about it because their fetish wasn't catered to well enough. Of course, I might find it more annoying personally because I'm an author, not an artist, and stories take a longer time than pictures.

As far as the background it is non-existent, the coloring is flat in short this is the worst picture I've ever seen you do. As a fan of yours I have to say you can do alot better. This is not a fat woman this is a parody of a fat woman.
I don't like, and have said so, immobility or weak lazy fat women pictures.
I've always liked your work because:
1) You give a damn about your work.
2) You always try to improve.
3) I like your integrity.
4) Your one of the BEST artists doing BBW's on the net.
I'm sorry if your upset, but most of the people yho do this are not as good as you therefor it's kinnda easy to get carried away by an artist who actully does ART!!!!
And not just balls with faces.

... *laughs* Very well said. No one (except maybe a few perverts) is faulting you for feeling that way. It's your artwork, and no one should dictate to you what to draw. I personally, although my preferences run towards the larger, am greatly fond of your art style, always well done and with excellent details and lineart, and I apologize for not saying so often enough. You are one of my favorite artists, and you deserve all the respect you get. Bravo for stating your mind.

I do find it bad that others care more about fatter than better. All your art is great, but your newest style art is much better than your old style. I just thought of it, but with WG art, I guess it is "quality over quantity." XD
