Description Finally made a tutorial for my recently popular rainbow cake. ^^
Had a few requests to make this. So here it is! ;D
This is also my first tutorial, so be kind

Btw TLS for those who don't know = Translucent Liquid Sculpey.

Forgot to write the temperature to bake the clay at, bake it at 275 degrees per 1/4 inch thickness. [:

& I made this tutorial with what I did when I experimented making a rainbow cake, doesn't mean you can't try different ways! Experiment and use your imagination!

I thought it was a real cake! I thought this was going to be a tutorial on baking the real thing, LOL. I'm self-teaching myself how to make fancy cakes, so do you mind if I swipe your idea and make it as a real, edible cake? I love the idea of a rainbow cakeness on the inside...

& haha sure if it helps! xD
Rainbow cakes are usually easy. So are rainbow cupcakes. [:
You will need to use 7 cake pans (you can reuse 2 or something).
Then split up the cake batter equally into the pans or just like 2 and dye them with dye different colors of the rainbow then after baked put em on a cake holder with like seran wrap in the middle of each layer so you can after, put some frosting in the middle. [:
When they are all baked you can frost in the middle of each layer then frost the outside. ^^
Or you can do the easy cupcake technique which is splitting the batter into 7 mixing bowls and coloring them, then putting each color , layer by layer in the cake pan. [:

Very nice!

I really wanna try this.
But there is one kinda big problem.
I can`t find Sculpey clay here where I live. (Except super sculpey skin colour. Very expencive)
So I guess I might be able to use Cernit instead.
But then I gotta try and find out how to make the frosting, seeing I won`t be able to get hold of TLS

Do you have any suggestions that might work?

Really? Did you look at your local craft store, like JoAnns or Micheals?
&& Auuw well theres also Fimo..
I have not heard of Cernit.. Hmmm...
&& You can always buy sculpey and TLS online

But if you cannot use TLS, you can do an easier "frosting", but it doesnt look as realistic, but works all the same. After you have the colors in order and the flatness and height the size you want, you roll out some white clay and put it over the base and cut the edges so it wraps around and looks like a white frosting.

I live in Denmark.
And we don`t have those stores you are mentioning.
I tried looking at the internet.
But it would probably mean I have to order the clay from abroad, which could get very expencive unfortuanatly.

Well Cernit and Fimo are the same thing really.
I haven`t noticed any difference between them atleast.

Gonna try this some day.
I might find something other than TLC to use and get a similar result.
We`ll just have to see
