Seeing Twilight Lash out at her friends like that what she did is one reason why I have turned my back on MLP: FIM and now hate this series with a burning passion. It is also one of the reasons why Twilight has earned my hatred and scorn for her.

Very good point. Though Twilight at first DID have a point with calling out her friends for not taking things seriously. She lost sympathy when she went off on her tangent about how she's the one Tempest wants. As if that's supposed to be a justification for lying and stealing. You know, what Capper already did.

Even though I kinda donβt blame Twilight for tricking her friends since theyβre being useless and idiots throughout most the film, but I totally agree with you on Twilight shouting Pinkie βWell, maybe, I would've been better off WITHOUT FRIENDS LIKE YOU!!!β Not only that part completely forced, it was indeed pretty nasty even for Twilight afterΒ 7 seasons of developing of their friendship even when they made many of mistakes and ask for forgiveness.

Sorry yodajax but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that, I ultimately feel sorry for Twilight in the film, she had to carry the weight in her shoulders knowing that the whole world is counting on her. But what I am gonna blame is Twilight's friends, why? They're all idiots, they're useless, and careless. But I like the point you made about Marlin, but I do love both films so, but I respect your opinion.

Pretty nice. And I do like how you limited this to just Twilight in the movie to show how there was just one character break in this one movie.Β
And since you are going more by events than characters, I feel this was about as apples-to-apples as you could get.Β

You compared two similar situations of a heroic breakdown/misunderstanding and analyzed how the characters were handled in those situations.Β
These situations were similar because both involved a hero under pressure and why they broke character. You explained why one action was justified and one was not. Both were performed under similar situations and served similar purposes to the plot.Β

I'd say Marlin. Both of these films I do think I need to rewatch, but Marlin's actions felt the most justified and were able to have the other characters set their own actions into perspective. With Twilight, the friends in this case did nothing wrong and had nothing to do with Twilight's irresponsibility. With Marlin, it was all about the other characters, so it got them to think about what happened.Β Β
