Some consider it to be a type of dragon, others an entirely different species.
But I think they said that wyverns are tricky under the wing options because the wyvern (which I assume they consider the Monstrous Nightmare to be, presuming they believe the wyvern to be a type of dragon) only has two legs. With the monstrous nightmare it has to brace itself due to lack of front legs up on its wings like a bat. It makes the wings folded up like that which would make any alterations to the wings difficult.
Does that make sense?
