So while I was on my roadtrip I came up with an idea for a couple of characters in the Gestalt setting. Firstly was a tall lanky, slightly goofy, monster hunter with the title of “Knight”. Second his short, adorable dragon girlfriend. The whole idea revolves around the scenario in which he is introducing her to his friends, who are already apprehensive about this because a monster hunter dating a monster is just weird and slightly concerning. And then they show up and...
Friend1: Wow, you look kinda... human.
Bettie: Heh, yeah. It’s pretty much the only dragon ability I have.
Friend2: So you don’t breathe fire or anything?
Bettie: Gosh no. I know some dragons who do that and from what I understand it’s terrible, especially when you have heartburn.
Friend1: Right. So you just... can look human.
Bettie: Pretty much!
Friend3: Don’t most dragons still have horns or a tail or something when they transform?
Bettie: A lot do. I guess I just... don’t.
Yadayadayada, friends end up thinking Bettie is pulling one over on Gawain or is just super delusional because she has a reason for everything, which they take to mean she has an excuse for everything.
Bottom line is they’re cute and adorable and a sickeningly sweet couple and as soon as I settle on a design for her dragon form, I’ll post that too.

heh heh heh They met at her job- a small niche store that sells weapons to monster hunters :3 Her hoard is games (all sorts) and it's pretty expensive to acquire and maintain, so she needs the work and as a dragon she actually has the strength to move heavy equipment around with relative ease.

Oh gosh, how do I even narrow it all down.
What's their relationship/dynamic like? What is SHE like? What does she look like as a dragon? What KIND of dragon is she? Does she hoard anything? I need to know how they hit it off - who their friends are... basically EVERYTHING.

Well let's see...
Their relationship is y'know, fairly comparable to any other couple's. They get a fair amount of hate and ignorant comments due to her being a dragon- which in the world they live in many consider to be a "monster", and others who see intelligent dragons as little more than animals. Which is one of the reasons she just stays in her alternate form so much, just to avoid that as much as possible in their daily lives. Gawain doesn't really get that many comments 1) he has little to no presence online and most of his friends are coworkers (fellow monster hunters) who know the difference and are at the least less prudish than most people Bettie runs into.
Personality-wise, Bettie is pretty quiet and reserved, would rather go unnoticed than be the center of attention, but one-on-one she can be pretty talkative and knowledgeable about topics related to her interests. She's fairly young- both in general and for a dragon (about 23 years old).
I haven't figured out what she looks like. I did add some sketches to my scraps, but I'm really not sure if that's the direction I want to go in. (all sketchwork I dump into scraps in general 
The general idea for her dragon form was a short, compact sorta corgi/cat/red panda (back legs being longer than the front so she waddles when she walks)
She does have a hoard, it's games- any kind of games. So she has a lot of books that are about games played historically and their context, as well as retro games, board games (multiple editions of these board games), video games (including dated hardware to run them and replacement parts), books on how to build or repair the hardware for the games, books on programming and computer engineering to learn how to update hardware or make emulators/transfer the data, many MANY card decks (some for playing, others for their artistic value), boxes of dice, some games of her own making/imagining, etc etc etc.
Bettie's parents live in her home country (which has yet to be named). Her father hoards cloth and textiles and breeds his own animals, the cloth he makes he then sells or trades. Her mother hoards seeds and has her own nursery as well as fields where she cultivates and experiments. Both her parents are fairly well-off and well-known within their respective commerce communities.
Bettie works at a weapons store, which primarily supplies monster hunters like Gawain. They met while she was working there. He found her adorable and fascinating and asked her out after several trips to the store with lame excuses for being there when he was really just there to talk to her. I haven't decided how they end up as a couple- I know he asks her and she turns him down at least once because either she hasn't told him that she's a dragon or because she's afraid he's asking because she IS a dragon.
Their local friends mainly consist of Gawain's friends from work, who again, are suspicious about the validity of her claim to dragonhood. Online Bettie is a part of a small community- mostly to stay connected to the dragons from her homeland. The majority of her online presence was erased after getting too much hatemail/comments.
